CARTS NEEDED: Hello! As we get ready to pick up our first grocery order of the 2026/27 school year, we are in need of more carts (2ft x 4ft). We haul in our grocery orders, 5-6 pallets per monthly order, into our unit on carts, and haul out our packed baggies (an average of 784 every 2 weeks) on carts. Carts (or lack of) have become the bottleneck on grocery & delivery days, due to the expansion of our program/the need in our community.

Rather than spend money on 2 new carts (we could use up to 4), we thought we would put the word out to see if any of our supporters have a cart similar (could be wooden or plastic also) they are not using and would like to donate it to us (we will pick it up). Hello, we are getting back from summer vacation and I wanted to let you know 1 month from today, on Wed. Sept. 16th, we will deliver our first WP4S food baggies for the 2026-27 school year.🥳

Our baggies assist local kids and teens (JK-G12) who live with food insecurity. In the absence of the school food programs these students rely on during the week, our baggies help bridge the nutritional gap they experience on the weekends.

Our program is free to the students who we assist. We partner with 22 local schools...Brockville-10; Prescott-3; Athens-2; Johnstown; Spencerville; Maynard; Lyn; Mallorytown; Toledo; and Addison.

During the 25/26 school year we had: a high of 421 students per week; a 10 month average of assisting 372 students every weekend; and we packed & delivered 15,663 WP4S baggies! That translates to 15,663 cumulative weekends made easier for local kids & teens who live with food insecurity. 🥰

As we gear up for our 12th school year, we are looking for support from the communities the WP4S is active in. It costs ~$300 to support a student for the full school year. For details on how to donate, please see the instructions pinned to the top of this page.

FYI- We are a Loaves & Fishes Brockville, 100% volunteer run program, with a team of ~30 dedicated volunteers, so ALL funds you donate go directly towards the WP4S.🥰

THE GRAND TOTAL OF INGRID AND HER TEAM’S COOKIES for HEAT FUNDRAISER!!! ⬇️

A total of 249 packs of “hamburger cookies” were sold at the Pastry Kings Princess Bakery, The Butcher Shop Brockville and the Dairy Barn North Augusta RAISING a WHOPPING $3,224.55! 🥳

BUT she/they didn’t stop there… IN ADDITION there were: donations from St. Lawrence Forming, Leading Edge Overhead Doors, Jack Van Dusen Excavating Ltd and Brenda Van Dusen totalling $800; and donation jars at the bakery which netted $623.65 and the Dairy Barn which netted $789! 🥳

Bringing the GRAND TOTAL OF THE FUNDRAISER TO $5,437.20!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

A big THANK YOU to all of the businesses above AND to everyone who bought cookies or made a donation, we truly appreciate it. 🤗

WE CAN HOOK UP THE GAS AND HEAT THE WP4S UNIT FOR THE 2026/27 school year and beyond! 🙏😇🥰
