Make yourself heard about potential changes to Charleston Park which may affect nearby Athens & District Snowmobile Club trails that we ride (A1 and A4 trails in the Sheatown rd area east of Charleston Lake).

Charleston Lake Park may be expanding. This will include all Ministry of Natural Resources property in the area. Go to ero.ontario.ca and search for ero # 025-0031.
You have roughly 40 days left to give your opinion and understand your rights. This will be final and no turning back, even though there is legislation to protect these activities the Provincial Park and Conservation Reserves Act can effect you. Make yourself heard!

End of season message from our District Upper Canada Snowmobile Region - OFSC District 1

With the mild weather and rain all Elizabethtown Snowmobile Club trails have been closed at this point. It’s hard for me to say that this is the end of such a great season with colder weather ahead after the thaw but it very likely is. Thank you to all our volunteers, groomer operators, riders, and supporters this awesome season!

We put in more groomer hours than we ever have in recent past years, and the club navigated some huge last-minute challenges such as the Ontario The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs - OFSC funding for reopening of 100% of trails, and our 6 km E65 trail reroute mid-season.

Trail statuses for our whole Elizabethtown Snowmobile Club system have changed today on the ITG and grooming has been suspended. We are expecting trail conditions to be deteriorating rapidly over the next couple days with the coming thaw. Be sure to check ITG before you go.

All of our trails survived today’s thaw surpisingly well and we are out grooming the whole north end tonight (E105/64/65/66/67). Get out Sunday while you still can!
