June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada

This month is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples, while also reflecting on the importance of reconciliation.

Throughout June, BCCL will be learning through virtual programming and supporting local Indigenous communities by attending an Indigenous-led celebration at Ken Whillans Square on June 20th.

BCCL encourages everyone to take time to learn, listen and support Indigenous voices, artists, authors, and buisnesses.

Community Living Month is here, and we invite you to join us in celebrating, supporting and recognizing this important movement. This year's theme, Connections That Count, highlight the meaningful relationships that strengthen our community.

On Monday May 4th at 10am we kick off Community Living Month with a Brampton Caledon Community Living flag-raising ceremony at Ken Whillans Square, located at City of Brampton – Your Local Government . BCCL leaders and advocates will speak on the importance of Connections That Count and how imperative they are to create inclusive communities and the impact they have on people's lives. No registration is required. We hope to see you there. Please wear your community living blue and green💚💙
