Last Christmas, SMILE reached Chimanimani, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

Through our volunteer Pardon Maguta, food hampers were distributed to vulnerable families — helping widows, the elderly, and child-headed homes experience a more dignified Christmas.

Last Christmas, SMILE reached Kigo Road in Kaduna, Nigeria 🇳🇬.

Through the leadership of our volunteer Maikano Nuhu, 10 children from underserved families experienced their first park outing and received school preparation kits for the new academic term.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who continue to rise, even when the odds are stacked against them.

Across many communities, women carry the weight of responsibility, creativity, and resilience. They build, nurture, innovate, and lead - often with limited access to opportunities that should already be within reach.

Last Christmas, under our SMILE Initiative, our volunteer Emmanuel Adediji led a Back-to-School project in Ogun, Nigeria 🇳🇬

Selected pupils of The Glorious Kids School received school sandals, exercise books, and essential stationery ahead of the January term - helping ease financial pressure on families and ensuring the children resumed school prepared.

The initiative also included a visit to an orphanage home, where foodstuffs and basic supplies were donated in support of holistic child welfare.

Last Christmas, under our SMILE Initiative, our volunteer Dauda Adeyoola supported Methodist Primary School, Kweme in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬

The school had been lacking essential literacy and numeracy books, making it difficult for pupils to practice reading and writing independently.

Through our SMILE Initiative, foundational books were provided to support teachers and strengthen early learning.

Five years ago, AZONETA was founded as a Canadian-registered charity with a clear purpose: to support underserved communities across sub-Saharan Africa through education, digital inclusion, poverty relief, and empowerment initiatives.

Over the past five years, we’ve worked alongside local organizations and volunteers to deliver books and school supplies, support digital literacy hubs, provide food and clothing assistance, and create programs rooted in dignity and sustainability.

📘 A Step Forward Towards Quality Education in Nigeria!

We’re proud to announce the successful installation of 14 new white boards at Methodist High School, Arigbajo (Ogun State, Nigeria)! 🎉

This project, led by Fola-Bolumole Temitope, has transformed classrooms—replacing old blackboards with clean, modern boards that make teaching and learning more interactive and engaging.

With this upgrade, students and teachers can now enjoy clearer lessons, better participation, and an improved learning environment. 🌟
