Tonight, 2nd Berwick Cubs had the opportunity to participate in the Learn to Fish (L2F) program at the beautiful private pond at Evergreen Nursing Home. The youth learned the basics of sportfishing, including fishing equipment, rod assembly, freshwater fish species, and important safety practices.

The Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture’s Learn to Fish program helps introduce new anglers to fishing while promoting environmental stewardship and ethical fishing practices. Since 2006, the program has reached more than 20,000 participants across Nova Scotia through hands-on outdoor learning experiences.
A big thank you to Sabrina and James from the L2F program for giving this opportunity to so many youth and helping make the experience so enjoyable and educational.
Thank you to Evergreen Nursing Home for allowing us to use their pond and helping make this a fun and memorable evening for our Cubs!

2nd Berwick Scouts and Ventures took part in the 3rd annual New Brunswick International Camporee in Holderville New Brunswick this past weekend along with our friends from 1st Aylesford.
The theme this year was How to Train Your Dragon. Our Youth and Scouters all had a blast meeting new friends, competing in challenges and being eaten alive by blackflies while dressed in an array of cool and creative costumes!!

2nd Berwick Scouting held our 2nd annual Liz Boyd-Chenier Memorial Camp!
This year we had a blast at Lookoff Family Campground & Canteen. Big thank you to Jason for offering the property to us. Was a prefect spot for our group to let loose, have some fun and make tons of memories 😀
When camp was done we took a pile of Donations for Kings County Spca in Liz's memory.
Thank you to all who attended and helped us honor Liz's memory. She was a wonderful woman who liked to have fun and knowing the youth had so much fun this weekend would make her proud ❤️

Your dedication, patience, and passion make a lasting difference in the lives of our youth.

Week after week, you show up ready to lead, support, and inspire—helping our youth learn new skills, build confidence, and create memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.

From planning meetings and organizing adventures to encouraging growth and teamwork, everything you do matters more than words can express.

You are the heart of this program, and our community is stronger because of you.

Words can not express how very thankful, grateful, and appreciative we are for all the support our community has given to 2nd Berwick Scouts and Ventures over the past few weeks.
There has been many fundraisers recently to help raise funds to pay for a weekend Camporee trip to New Brunswick in May. We could not make happen for these amazing youth without our supportive community, families and friends.
