The Apple Tree Foundation has been helping enrich the lives of clients with disabilities at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC) for more than 25 years, by contributing to special projects and programs. The Apple Tree Foundation has been helping enrich the lives of clients at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC) since 1994 by contributing to special projects and programs. It
is through the efforts of Foundation Board members, many being volunteers, along with contributions from Centre staff and the community, that we’ve been successful in raising extra monies to help support projects such as a fitness room, landscaping and grounds beautification, computer lab, audio visual equipment, the Mountain View Boutique, greenhouse, and wheel chair accessible vehicles. Each year the Foundation organizes a variety of fundraising events, activities and raffles, and also accepts charitable donations and
in-memorial gifts. The Apple Tree Charity Golf Classic is one example of our work. This tournament has been recognized as one of the longest running and popular charity golf events in the region. Our work could not be possible without the support of the community. It is both the donation of time and the contribution of financial resources from individuals, businesses and organizations that sustain these initiatives.
