Navigating the OAP waitlist can feel overwhelming, but understanding the system early is key. Join the Foundational Family Services at CSBD for a virtual Access OAP Information Session. This workshop provides a comprehensive overview of the Ontario Autism Program, breaking down the upcoming Determination of Needs (DON) process and future expense reporting. Access OAP representative will be joining to answer questions and help you fully prepare for the future.

Join Autism Ontario for “Understanding Government of Canada Disability Programs and Services for Children and Youth (Under 18)”, an online information session hosted by Service Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, and Employment and Social Development Canada.

This session will provide information on supports for persons living with disabilities and their caregivers, including:
• Canada Disability Benefit: how to apply, eligibility criteria, and when to apply
• Disability Tax Credit: how to apply and access associated benefits and credits
• Registered Disability Savings Plan: how it can support persons with disabilities to save for the future

July 11 marks the anniversary of the Accessible Canada Act, which came into force in 2019. This landmark legislation was created to help build a barrier-free Canada where everyone can participate fully and equally. It reflects the voices of Canadians who shared what accessibility means to them and continues to guide efforts toward a more inclusive future.

While important progress has been made, there is still work to do. Together, we can create communities where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered.
