91X Alternative 91X is Quinte's New Rock Source 91X Alternative is unlike most conventional stations. Most of the time, you’ll hear a cutting-edge blend of alternative rock.

Alt-rock has been around for 30+ years, so our playlist includes everything from the early days of new wave, through the grunge era of the early 90s, to today’s newest rock. Our focus is on current music, but we also pay homage to alternative rock’s heritage. Late nights and weekends feature a wealth of diverse programming: Classical, Jazz, Folk, Blues, Hip-Hop, Reggae, World Beat, and Metal, it’s all here!

All existing studios are being gutted to make room for Nuclear Medicine and Health/Nursing space. 91X remains a vital part of Loyalist College with a gorgeous new production suite and a temporary on air studio in the Digital Media Centre. The new home for the 91X control room (now with windows!) is still under construction!
