Community Living Belleville and Area has successfully achieved FOCUS Accreditation with an outstanding 96.6% rating and full marks across all required Domains!
This milestone reflects the dedication of our Board of Directors, people we support, their families, volunteers and all employees. We collectively received valuable input of 272 stakeholders who participated in the process. This achievement highlights our strong commitment to quality services and continuous improvement.
We’re proud of this accomplishment and excited to keep building on this success as we move forward.

It's National AccessAbility Week - May 31 to June 6

National AccessAbility Week is a period to examine and discuss the barriers that may be present in society for those with disabilities and discuss how we can reduce or remove those barriers.

Community Care Peterborough offers multiple services that can help those with disabilities in many aspects of their life. For example, with our Brokered Home Help and Maintenance programs we can connect clients with people who can help with tasks like yard maintenance or minor repairs. May 5 is the National Day of Awareness and remembrance for the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people (MMIWG2S), also known as Red Dress Day. Today, we reflect on the ongoing impacts of violence, and the importance of awareness, advocacy and meaningful action. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities to honour the lives and legacies of MMIWG2S by listening to their stories and supporting safer futures in the pursuit of healing, and change.

On May 5, we honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. This day is an important reminder of the ongoing impacts of violence and systemic inequities faced by Indigenous communities.

At Quinte Health, we recognize the strength, leadership, and vital role of Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people in their families and communities. Their safety, dignity, and voices matter.

We are committed to continuing our learning and to supporting care that is rooted in respect, relationships, and Indigenous knowledge.

Today, we remember those who are missing and those whose lives were taken. We stand with their families, loved ones, and communities.
