Camp Alexo is owned and operated by the Youth HQ Foundation and is located 70km west of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, in the heart of David Thompson Country. Camp Alexo offers a wide variety of recreational, overnight, and adventure-based wilderness programs for children and youth 7-17 years of age.

🌟 Camp Alexo Junior Leader Program - Summer 2026
🔥 For ages 14–17 who are ready to lead, grow, and make a real impact!

If your teen is looking to build confidence, gain hands‑on experience, and develop real leadership skills they can use in school, work, and life... the Junior Leader Program is the perfect next step.

JLs take part in:
✔️ Training days in Red Deer (May 30–31)
✔️ A full training weekend at Camp Alexo (June 20–22)
✔️ 1–2 weeks volunteering as a Cabin Leader with campers ages 7–12
✔️ Mentorship from experienced camp staff
✔️ Skill‑building in conflict resolution, problem‑solving, teamwork, and leadership

This program is designed to help youth grow into confident leaders; whether they’re hoping to work with kids, build their résumé, or simply challenge themselves in a supportive, outdoor environment.
