Most men have no idea what age they should start thinking about prostate screening.
For some men in Bermuda, it is a decade earlier than they would guess.
Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s guidance on when that conversation should start:
- Age 40 for Black men, or men with a family history of prostate cancer
- Age 50 for all other men at average risk
So the ask this month is not “go and get tested”. It is smaller than that.
Find out which age applies to you, and raise it at your next appointment.
