Shift.bm SHIFT fresh, forward-thinking, and carries the fearless spirit of today’s young leader. If PRIDE is Bermuda’s heart, SHIFT is Bermuda’s pulse.

Shift is an accredited, non-profit organization that promises to empower educators to transform young people's lives by authentically engaging them in quality social emotional learning (SEL) and substance abuse prevention programmes. After 35 years of PRIDE, its members take a leap toward the advancement and longevity of the organization with an update that answers the country’s most urgent call: social-emotional learning. Though its mission remains to prevent substance abuse and health risk behaviors in children, it also seeks to grant every individual of all ages and stages” a chance at expansion, exploration, and adventure; to recognize and reward leadership wherever it’s presented; and to revive those who have experienced a loss of passion, direction, and purpose. This new cognitive and social-emotional approach to learning not only puts young people in motion for career success, it finally provides tools to address their emotions responsibly. We present viable options for young people, showing them that with a shift in behavior and belief, anything is possible. All of its moving parts, from our programmes and services to our partners and patrons, work together to promote our central idea; “SHIFT is the place for movement and improvement.”
