Children and teens who are struggling with their mental health deserve access to care, regardless of their families’ financial circumstances. Local research by Dr. Daniel Cavanagh highlights the barriers that can prevent Bermuda’s young people from seeking mental health support, reinforcing the importance of making help accessible and reducing stigma.
This World Children’s Day, we celebrate the theme “My day. My rights. My future.” Every child deserves to be heard, supported and given opportunities to thrive. Access to quality mental health care is an essential part of protecting those rights and helping children build their futures.
Family Centre provides mental health counselling for children and youth aged 4–24 and their families in Bermuda, at no cost to families. We help address emotional, mental and behavioural challenges while building essential life skills and resilience. Our community programmes, Youth Leadership Academy, Beyond Rugby Bermuda and Beyond Yoga Bermuda, offer young people opportunities to build confidence, develop connections and prepare for the future.
On Friday, November 20 2026, we invite schools, companies and individuals to wear blue and donate to Family Centre. Your support helps keep our programmes and services available without the barrier of cost, so children, youth, and families can find healing, hope and connection.
Join us in championing Bermuda’s children and teens: their rights, their voices and their futures. 💙
