Bermuda Is Love will host a Healthy Mothers Brunch on Saturday, November 14, in collaboration with the Women’s Resource Centre, It Takes a Village, Family Centre, and the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity.

Aaron Crichlow, Founder of Bermuda Is Love, said, “The Healthy Mothers Brunch will take place in the Cathedral Hall from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The event will provide expectant mothers and mothers with young children with a free, healthy brunch, nutritional and parenting information, access to diapers, counselling services, a panel discussion, and an opportunity to connect with other mothers and build a supportive community. Childcare and activities for children will also be provided.”

Amira Gift, Bermuda Is Love intern, said, “Bermuda Is Love believes that all mothers and children have the right to free and reliable access to everything they need to achieve the highest attainable standard of physical and mental well-being. Motherhood should not have to be navigated alone, and no mother should have to struggle to access the resources, information, and support she needs to care for herself and her children. All expectant mothers and mothers with young children are welcome, regardless of their background, circumstances, or income.”

A representative of the Women’s Resource Centre said, “The Women’s Resource Centre is pleased to partner with Bermuda Is Love to create a welcoming space where mothers can connect, build community, and feel supported. Opportunities like the Healthy Mothers Brunch are important because they remind women that they do not have to navigate motherhood alone, and that community, connection, and access to support can make a meaningful difference to their well-being.”

The Healthy Mothers Brunch is an opportunity to bring mothers, families, community organisations, and health professionals together to share knowledge, strengthen support networks, and recognise the importance of maternal and child health.

All expectant mothers and mothers with young children are welcome.

This campaign was made to promote our School Breakfast Programs where we feed students free breakfasts. We believe that all students deserve a healthy start to their day, everyday. Although the campaign is coming to an end, we are still doing the School Breakfast Programs. Come out and volunteer at www.bermudaislove.com.

We provide breakfasts to all students every Friday. We believe all students should have a healthy meal to begin their day, every day, no matter what.

Elliot Primary is Our Family. ❤️

Breakfast is about so much more than food. It is about building community, nurturing relationships, creating friendships, and growing a family with our students. It is about showing every child that they matter, that they are valued, and that they are loved simply for being themselves.

By showing up, day after day, we are building a community where children grow up understanding the power of love because they have experienced it themselves. And when children experience that love, they learn to carry it into the world around them, sharing it with their friends, their families, and their wider community.

When we nourish our children, we nourish our future. When we invest in their wellbeing, we strengthen our entire community. And when we teach them through our actions that love means caring for one another, we help create a world where that love continues to grow, from one person to another, and from one generation to the next.

Because the community we build for our children today is the community we will all live in tomorrow.

At Elliot Primary, Year 7 students, Jordyn, Keora, and A’Kaelys share what they love about Bermuda Is Love’s School Breakfast Program, providing free breakfast every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

From pancakes and French toast to eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, and much more, breakfast gives students the energy to learn, grow and take on the day.

And it’s about more than the food. Students get to help serve their classmates, eat with their friends, and start the school day together.

At Elliot Primary, a full stomach means brighter minds and brighter futures!

Because food is a human right, and no child should start school hungry.

Free breakfasts are back at Harrington Sound Primary!

In partnership with Rosewood Bermuda, Bermuda Is Love is continuing to expand our School Breakfast Program, ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals before the school day begins.

We believe food is a human right, not a privilege. No child should have to learn on an empty stomach, and no family should have to worry about whether their child will have breakfast at school.

Our vision is universal school meals across Bermuda, where every child can access a healthy breakfast without registration, payment or stigma.

This is what love in action looks like.

Thank you to Rosewood Bermuda, volunteers, and everyone helping us build a future where no child in Bermuda starts the school day hungry.

Every child deserves to start the school day with a full stomach.

This October, Bermuda Is Love interns Joanna and Amira are lending their voices to our campaign, calling for universal school breakfast programs across Bermuda.

For the past three years, we’ve been working to make free, nutritious school breakfasts a reality. From Elliot Primary to Harrington Sound and Victor Scott, we’ve seen how a simple meal can help children feel happier, focus better, and be ready to learn.

But this is about more than breakfast. It’s about dignity, equality, community, and recognising that food is a human right.

No registration. No stigma. No cost. Every child. Every school day.

This isn’t a me or you thing. It’s an us thing.
