Denise’s presentation, Work-to-Lease: Finding your Happy Valley, explores how supportive housing and the continued vitality of Back o’ Town can help transform lives.

Her session challenges the “not-in-my-backyard” mindset and highlights how social housing across Bermuda’s neighbourhoods can support the work to end homelessness and build a stronger Bermuda.

Shawn’s presentation, A Place to Start: How the Trades Can Create a Pathway to Stability, explores how practical skills, mentorship and meaningful opportunities can help create pathways toward greater independence.

Drawing on more than 30 years in the electrical trade, experience in plumbing, and years as a small-business owner, Shawn shares how employers and experienced tradespeople can support those who may have fallen outside a traditional career path.
