The Purpose of Rover Scouting

Rover Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. The Values of Rover Scouting

As Rover Scouts we are guided by these values:

Rover Scouting takes place when young people, in partnership with adults, work together based on the values of Rover Scouting and:
• enjoy what they are doing and have fun
• take part in activities indoors and outdoors
• learn by doing
• share in spiritual reflection
• take responsibility and make choices
• undertake new and challenging activities
• make and live by their Promise.

When Life itself hangs quietly a single bag of blood each month,Thalassemia ceases to be merely an illness —it becomes a quiet war fought behind hospital walls, fragile veins,and exhausted smiles. For some, the light of life fades before it ever truly begins; while others spend a lifetime carrying the unbearable anxiety of finding blood again and again, enduring the relentless pain of needles piercing their veins upon cold hospital beds.

To promote the Awareness and execute Screening campaign,BioTED,along with funding support from Base Care Foundation UK and GenX Health,are going to conduct a campaign under the banner of “Thalassemia Awareness and Screening Campaign" at selected universities of 8 divisions in Bangladesh. We are proud to announce that it has been selected as the designated campus for the Mymensingh Division, while we,Bangladesh Agricultural University Rover Scout Group, are serving as the co-organizing body of the campaign.

While it may take around 2000 taka to diagnose Thalassemia in any Diagnosis Centre, here this same test will be conducted at free of cost — that allows to inform your carrier status and well enough information to make further decisions. But a Registration is highly required.

Duration of Campaign :10 am to 2 pm

Registration fee:50 taka

‎২রা মে বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় রোভার স্কাউট গ্রুপের আয়োজনে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ৬৩তম দীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠান।
‎
‎রোভার সহচরদের দীক্ষা প্রদান করেন গ্রুপ রোভার স্কাউট লিডার ড. মো.জহিরুল আলম এবং সহকারী রোভার স্কাউট লিডার আফসানা মিমি।
‎& আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন সাবেক গ্রুপ সিনিয়র রোভারমেট জিসান মোস্তাসিন (সিডিআরএস)।

‎এই আয়োজনে দীক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত রোভারদের আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে স্কাউটিংয়ের আদর্শ, শৃঙ্খলা ও সেবার মহান পথে অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ করা হয়।
‎দেশপ্রেম, মানবতা ও নেতৃত্বের চেতনায় উদ্বুদ্ধ হয়ে তারা প্রতিজ্ঞাবদ্ধ—‎নিজেকে গড়ে তুলবে, সমাজকে এগিয়ে নেবে, এবং স্কাউটিংয়ের মূলমন্ত্রকে বাস্তব জীবনে ধারণ করবে।

দীক্ষা গ্রহণের পূর্বশর্তানুসারে গত ১লা মে ১২ জন রোভার সহচর সন্ধ্যায় খোলা আকাশের নিচে তাদের ভিজিল সম্পন্ন করে।
‎উক্ত আয়োজনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সাবেক সিনিয়র রোভার মেট নূর ঈ জান্নাত নাইমা আপু। ভিজিলের তাৎপর্য নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন ক্রু ইন কাউন্সিলের সভাপতি সাগর আল হাসান ভাই এবং সাধারণ সম্পাদক আইরিন রহমান প্রমি আপু।এছাড়াও বিভিন্ন স্তরের রোভার সদস্যরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন অনুষ্ঠানে.
