We are delighted to welcome Yael Berman as the new Director of Latin American (AmLat) Region at Masorti Olami.
Born in Argentina and raised in Israel, Yael brings extensive experience in Jewish communal life, international relations, education, leadership development, and strengthening the connections between Israel and Jewish communities across Latin America.
Throughout her career, she has worked closely with community leaders, organizations, educators, and volunteers throughout the region, building meaningful partnerships and helping foster vibrant, engaged Jewish communities. Most recently, she served as Regional External Relations Coordinator for the Ibero-American Federations at World WIZO, where she developed strategic collaborations with Jewish communities across Latin America. She also served as a Shlicha on behalf of the Jewish Agency for Israel in Uruguay, leading educational and community initiatives that strengthened Jewish identity and deepened ties with Israel.
In her new role, Yael will serve as a bridge between the global Masorti/Conservative Movement and the communities and organizations of Latin America. She will work closely with community leaders and the Masorti AmLat Board, providing professional support, guidance, and partnership while helping advance regional initiatives and foster greater collaboration across the region.
We are excited to welcome Yael to the Masorti Olami family and look forward to working together to continue strengthening and supporting Masorti/Conservative communities throughout Latin America.
Please join us in welcoming Yael and wishing her much success in this new role.
