The Australian Intercountry Adoption Network (AICAN) was founded in 1990 and is the national network of non-government organisations (NGOs) involved in international adoption. AICAN offers the largest source of adoption resources in Australian

s and works closely with both local and foreign bodies involved in intercountry adoptions. The AICAN website is updated regularly with articles, statistics, newsgroups, and other resources useful to the Australian adoption community. AICAN is a self funding body manned by volunteers.
