A few weeks ago, some of the JCI Illawarra Board had the opportunity to take part in Governance Training facilitated by Marie Russo through JCI Australia.

The session provided valuable insights into governance, leadership, board responsibilities, and building strong foundations for the future of our chapter. It was a great opportunity to learn, collaborate, and continue developing the skills that help us grow as leaders and better support our members and community.

A huge thank you to Marie for sharing her knowledge and experience with us. We’re excited to continue putting these learnings into action throughout 2026 as we continue to ignite leadership across the Illawarra 🔥

On Saturday 28th March, JCI Illawarra was proud to host the 2026 JCI Australia Annual General Meeting in Wollongong.

For 93 years, JCI Australia has shaped leaders and strengthened enterprise across the nation and this year, we came together by the sea to set our course for the future.

✨ The day brought together members, senators, ambassadors and guests for a powerful program of connection, leadership and enterprise:

• A purposeful AGM, grounding us in clarity, direction and shared vision
• Meaningful conversations over lunch at Novotel Wollongong’s Adrift Pool Bar
• Insightful discussions during the Senators Under 40 Panel, showcasing the impact of leading early with intention, thank you Emerson, Emory and Shiva for sharing your stories.
• The exciting launch of JCI in Business in Australia, turning connection into real opportunity
• And a memorable Reunion Gala Dinner held by the JCI Senate and Ambassadors Group at the HARS Museum, celebrating our shared legacy with over 100 past and present members

💬 Set Your Course captured exactly what the day was about, choosing direction with intention, strengthening connections, and stepping forward with confidence.

JCI Illawarra is proud to host the 2026 JCI Australia Annual General Meeting (AGM) in beautiful Wollongong TOMORROW!

We’re ready to welcome JCI Members from across the country for a day of connection, collaboration, and forward planning as we set our course for the year ahead.

This year, we’re fortunate that the AGM overlaps with the Senate and Ambassador Reunion, bringing together past and present JCI Members across generations.

We’re especially excited for two standout sessions:

Senators Under 40 Panel featuring Emerson L. da Silva, Emory White, and Shiva Gopalan, highlighting what’s possible when JCI Members step up early and lead with purpose.
