BURBERRY

DAY 28

Dear Diwry

hi diary, I have a question. I hope you can answer.
Today I was playing with my toy I got for my birthday last week, and I realised my toy is nearly as big as me.
And then I looked at all my siblings and I saw that I really wasn’t the biggest actually I’m probably one of the little ones, and I would like to know why some of my brothers and sisters are so much bigger?
I got my weigh in today and I was 1.6 kg and some of my brothers and sisters are over 2 1/2 kg.
I’ve been drinking all my milk And now cause we’re eating puppy food I’m eating all my food like a good little girl, but………….. how come I’m not as big as them?

Anyway, apart from that everything‘s been great we get outdoor time every day and we get to play in the grass and chase each other around and play with our toys and then we come inside and get lots of hugs and kisses and get to have naps in between our Food

I love to be snuggled and when my humans are sitting down on the ground with us, I’m the 1st to climb up in their lap and snuggle up and get all the attention. I think it’s because even though I’m not the biggest I’m definitely the cutest LOL.

Anyway it’s time for me to go and have my milk before bed so I’ll catch you tomorrow but if you can answer my question and tell me what I can do to grow really big like some of my brothers and sisters I’d be forever grateful

Lots of love, Burberry ❤️🐾❤️

Day 28

Dear Diwy,

Today I discovered something AMAZING.

Food.

Not milk. Not Mum. Not my siblings ears.

Actual puppy food.

At first I wasn’t sure about it. I gave it a sniff. Then another sniff. Then I licked it just to make sure it wasn’t a trick.

It was not a trick.

It was delicious.

I ate and ate and ate until I could see the bottom of my bowl. Then I kept licking anyway because maybe more food would magically appear.

It did not.

Very disappointing customer service.

The humans said I was “cleaning up my bowl.”

I call it conducting a very thorough investigation.

After my important food duties, I went looking for cuddles. I am apparently the smoochiest puppy in the litter. I don’t know what “personal space” is, but I don’t think I need it.

The human picked me up and I gave their nose a kiss.

Then another.

Then some more.

The human laughed and said, “Elly Saab, you’re obsessed.”

Excuse me, human. I am providing professional puppy affection.

I also tried to cuddle one of my siblings, but they moved away because I accidentally sat on their head.

Not my fault.

Heads should not be where I put my bum.

By the end of the day my tummy was full, my bowl was shiny clean, and I had collected enough cuddles to last at least seven whole minutes.

Tomorrow I plan to eat more food, kiss more noses, and continue my mission to become everyone’s favourite puppy.

I am succeeding.

Love,

Elly Saab 🐾💕

Our GORGEOUS big Staffy Mumma DAWG, has managed to get herself needing to wear the “cone of shame “ for a few days and to try make things a little more comfortable and somewhat less invasive we kitted her out with this gorgeous pink ensemble thinking that this would make these few days more pleasant for her and of course ensure her babies are not getting banged around by a heavy duty plastic bull bar LOL 😂

JUST LOOK AT HER FACE 😂
She’s like, oh my god, how embarrassing 😂😂😂

Poor mama dog, but it’s only for a few days so I’m sure she’ll live ❤️❤️😂❤️😂❤️

Introducing our beautiful and charming mini Chocolate dachshund, Penny. Penny is an incredibly sweet and gentle little girl who is currently on the lookout for a quiet calm family to call her forever home. She thrives in a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and loved. With those teeny tiny little legs and weighing in at just 7 kilos, our gorgeous little girl is the perfect size companion.
When Penny encounters new people, she may initially express her curiosity with a few little barks. However, if you happen to have a tasty treat in hand, you will quickly win her over, and she will become your best friend in no time. While she can be a little nervous when encountering people on walks or meeting new individuals, she quickly warms up and wants to make friends..

She enjoys snoozing throughout the night and day, and if you’re resting, she will happily join you. Penny has a particular love for burrowing under blankets, where she feels cozy and warm. During colder weather, she needs to wear dog jumpers to keep her comfortable when out and about , as she tends to get chilly.

Penny may have a little bark when left alone, but she soon settles down and spends her day either snuggled under the blankets or gazing out the window, watching the world go by. She is entirely trustworthy when left inside the house, and you can rest assured that she will not cause any trouble. Penny is a true lap dog who adores being close to her human companions, but she is also content to relax in her own bed on the floor if her foster mom is busy with household tasks.

She may bark at dogs much larger than herself when out on a stroll if they are safely behind a fence, typical dachshund style. She's not a fan of other K9s so we are seeking an only dog home please where she can be the one and only love of your life.
Penny is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal for her.

Penny is a breeze to walk on a leash and requires a daily walk to expend her energy, which leaves her happily tired. She enjoys a sniff and exploring, true to her genetics
Penny is completely house-trained and has never been known to engage in any destructive chewing or other mischievous behaviors. She does like having indoor access in the day
Penny does love to cuddle at night in the bed and has learned to use her doggy steps as we don’t want her jumping up and down given she is a dachshund and they always have the added risk of hurting their backs being sausage dogs
Her daily diet consists of premium dry food, and she eats whenever she feels hungry. As she's more of a grazer She has a great fondness for food treats, which she finds irresistible.
Penny is well-behaved in the car and even enjoys car rides.

Penny is a devoted and loving companion who is eager to find a family that will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.
Penny is not suited to a home with young children due to her needing a quiet calm home.
Penny is best suited as an only dog as she loves to be the center of attention
Penny needs a home where she can have inside access during the day if people are away from the home
A home with min to no steps please as this breed should NOT be jumping
A home that understand the breeds needs so experience is a bonus
Penny doesn’t need a big yard as she predominantly likes to be inside

Giorgio Armani
Day 27

Dear Diwy,

Today I climbed wooden stairs!

Well… sort of.

The humans put me near the bottom of the stairs and I looked up. They seemed HUGE. Like a giant wooden mountain built just for puppies.

I stood there thinking very hard.

Should I climb them?

Should I nap instead?

Should I ask for milk?

The answer was obviously milk, but the humans wanted to take photos, and for me to sit still, so obviously I tried climbing.

So I took one tiny step.

Then another.

Then another.

My little legs were wobbling all over the place, and I wasn’t entirely sure they were connected to the same puppy.

At one point I nearly sat down by accident because my bum got tired.

The human’s kept cheering me on, which was nice, but I was mostly focused on not falling over my own feet.

When I finally made it to the top, I felt like the bravest puppy in the world.

I stood there proudly, chest puffed out, looking over my kingdom.

The kingdom was mostly grass.

And my siblings.

And a leaf.

But it was MY kingdom.

After all that hard work, I celebrated the only way a growing puppy knows how…

I had some milk, snuggled up with my brothers and sisters, and fell asleep before I could even finish my victory speech.

Being an adventurer is hard work.

Love,

Hi everyone, my name is Cherry Pie 🥧 and I am a two year-old French bulldog.

I arrive today from the Pound and I’ve just gone to my new foster family home and they are gonna look after me and take care of me till I find my forever home.

A little bit about me so far, just two years old and I’ve already had a few litters of babies but NO MORE now that I’m in rescue at Australian K9 Rescue Vic

I’m very dog social and I love playing with toys 🧸 but definitely I’m a human magnet and will do anything for cuddles and human affection, ❤️
I’m pretty overweight so I’ll be working on my summer body 😂 so stay tuned for my updates and rescue journey

Day 27

Dear Diwy,

Today I went to work.

Not puppy work. REAL work.

I climbed into a giant wood pile and became Jimmy Choo the Lumberjack. I sat very serious and important while I supervised all the logs. Someone has to make sure they stay where they belong.

I checked every stick. Then I checked them again just in case they moved.

There were lots of smells in the wood pile. Old tree smells, Dirt smells and Bug smells. I tried to investigate them all but then I remembered I am still very small and my little legs got tired.

I sat down and gave the humans my best serious worker face. They took about one hundred photos. Apparently that is what humans do instead of helping with the lumber.

My siblings missed out because they were busy doing boring puppy things like sleeping. Meanwhile I was protecting the trees.

Tomorrow I might tackle an even bigger log.

Or maybe have a nap.

Being a tiny lumberjack is exhausting.

Love,

Jimmy Choo 🪵🐾 💙

Meet the beautiful Marley, an exceptionally beautiful female dog, a delightful mix of Labrador /German Shorthair Pointer, boasting a striking chocolate coat that catches the eye. She is an extraordinary girl with immense potential, full of energy and charm, and she is sure to capture the hearts of everyone she meets.
Our stunning young girl weighs in at just 22 kilos and is a medium size girl who is full of love. Joy and affection.
Marley is an incredibly responsive girl to professional training sessions and really excels in having an experienced handler guiding her though each session. She has a wonderful focus on her handler and is extremely eager to please. I can definitely see her excelling in many disciplines as she has wonderful potential.

When it comes to her favorite activities, Marley has a few that she truly enjoys. She loves nothing more than basking in the warm sunlight, soaking up the rays as she relaxes. Running through long grass is another of her cherished pastimes, where she can stretch her legs and feel the wind in her fur. Pleasing her human companions is something she takes great pride in, always eager to make them happy. Marley also enjoys sleeping in, relishing those lazy mornings when she can snooze a little longer. However, she has a mischievous side too, as she finds great joy in destroying soft toys,as part of her playful nature.

In terms of her interactions with humans, Marley is incredibly affectionate. She adores cuddling and will often climb onto your lap, seeking closeness and warmth. Initially, when meeting new people, she can be quite exuberant, sometimes getting a bit too excited and jumping up. However, she is learning to curb this enthusiasm and is making progress in greeting people more calmly.

When it comes to other dogs, Marley has been tested with a variety of dogs and is always eager to meet and play with them. She is generally well-mannered during introductions and shows a genuine interest in engaging in playful activities. She is still learning to read social cues. She does love a good game of chase and can you catch me teg games.

In terms of obedience and training, Marley is exceptionally intelligent and highly motivated by food rewards. She has an excellent recall in environments with minimal distractions and is a quick learner, always eager to please her human companions. Marley being a young girl can get up to a bit of mischief stealing socks, and at times chewing things she shouldn’t so she is never left inside un-supervi.

As for her dietary preferences, Marley has a hearty appetite and loves food. She has been known to help herself to any unattended food left on the kitchen counter. While she primarily eats premium dry food, she seems to have a fondness for a wide variety of treats.

Regarding car travel, Marley was initially hesitant to get into the car. However, with a little reassurance and the promise of treats, she has become more confident. She may pant a bit, indicating some stress, but with continued exposure and positive experiences, she is likely to become more comfortable over time.

In terms of independence, Marley can be a bit clingy, often seeking the company of her human friends. However, she also appreciates having her own space and will occasionally retreat to another room when she desires some alone time.
Marley is able to be left at home without issues and is a fairly quiet girl.

Marley is fully toilet trained. Marley sleeps through the night in her dog bed. Her coat is clean and silky, adding to her overall appeal. She has a low maintenance coat

Exercise is essential for Marley, and she requires at least an hour of vigorous activity each day. She thrives on challenging exercise, such as running up hills or through long grass, and can become restless if her exercise needs are not met.

The perfect home for Marley would be one with a larger-than-average yard, providing her with ample space to roam and explore. She would benefit from a cozy spot to sleep at night and would appreciate a family that can give her plenty of attention when she seeks it, while also respecting her need for solitude when she indicates it by leaving the room.
Marley would be suited to a home either with another male dog or own her own.
Ideally, a home with a large secure yard , a walking track, or an off-leash trail would be perfect for her adventurous spirit.

Adoption Criteria
No apartments or small yards
A home with a nice size yard ,secure and shade and shelter for playing and games
Markey loves to be a part of the family so inside access when her family are home is a definite please
A home with another playful dog of similar size and energy would be fabulous not not a deal breaker
Children in the home would be fine ,but as she can be jumpy when excited we would be seeking mature age dog savvy
We have not tested her with cats
A home who has the time and energy to keep her well exercised and stimulated throughout her life.
