Day 1 at Cuboree: what a start!

Our Cubs have had a fantastic first day at Cuboree! They've been making new friends, getting a taste of camp life, and tackling the mud run with plenty of energy (and plenty of mud!).

A huge thank you to Rotary Club Of Whittlesea and Community Bank Hurstbridge, Diamond Creek, Eltham & Doreen-Mernda for their generous donations. Your support makes events like this possible for our youth, and the smiles on their faces say it all.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

⛺️ What a beautiful weekend for camping! 🌿🏕️

This weekend, 8 of our Scouts are heading off to Cohen Shield for a weekend of adventure, fun and, no doubt, plenty of camping memories!

It’s also a very exciting weekend for our leaders, with the first outing of our brand-new Leader Tents. Because let’s be honest… the kids shouldn’t get to have all the good stuff! 😉

We are incredibly grateful to Community Bank Hurstbridge, Diamond Creek, Eltham & Doreen-Mernda for their generous community grant, which has enabled us to purchase 8 new tents for our youth and leaders.

These tents are a fantastic addition to our camping equipment and will make a real difference to our group.

From all accounts, the new tents are pretty amazing — and we’re sure there will be some very happy leaders waking up after a good night’s sleep! 😴😂

Out Annual awards night is thie Friday and would like to invite all past members of our group.

You are warmly invited to attend our 2025–2026 Annual Report and Awards Night, as we come together to recognise the achievements, commitment and contribution of our members, leaders, families and supporters.
This special evening will also celebrate a significant milestone: 110 years of our Scout Group. We look forward to honouring our history, celebrating the past year and acknowledging the people who continue to make our group such an important part of the community.

The challenge was can you tie a reef knot behind your back? And tie a clove hitch. I think they succeeded…

We had an amazing time at the Plenty Region Gathering over the long weekend! There were so many fun activities—kayaking, abseiling, and of course the night markets.

So many highlights, but the best part was seeing our young people step out of their comfort zones and achieve incredible things. Always inspiring! 🙌

We also put our new tents to the test—they were fantastic! A big thank you to the Rotary Club Of Whittlesea for their kindness and generosity in making this possible.

Langdan — one of our Scouts — has been growing his hair since March 2020… and it’s now reached legendary status.
But alas, the time has come for the BIG CHOP ✂️
Yes, the glorious mane is going. Please observe a moment of silence for the conditioner budget his family is about to save.

Langdan decided to grow it out to donate his hair and raise funds for the big moment. Heroic? Yes. Brave? Also yes. Slightly overdue? We’ll let you decide 😄
