We had another fantastic Bunnings BBQ on Anzac Day, with all proceeds donated to go to Legacy.

What a successful dawn service held by the Whittlesea RSL with some 400 people attending this morning.

Whittlesea Rotary club had the honour of providing the gunfire breakfast for the attendees at the service.

My thanks to Thelma, Jenny, Lesley, Cheryl, and Jon for helping provide the breakfast this morning, you all did a magnificent job.

Rain or shine (and a bit of wind!), the Whittlesea community shows up! 🏌️‍♀️🍃

We had a fantastic day teaming up with the Whittlesea Lions Club for our 20th Annual Charity Golf Day. From supporting disaster relief to installing a new local bike rack, the impact of this day stays right here in our community.

Thanks to our partners at Community Bank Doreen-Mernda and everyone who swung a club for a good cause! 🤝🎖️

At the Rotary Club of Whittlesea, we believe that service has no borders. We were incredibly proud to present a Paul Harris Fellow to Jim France, recognising his extraordinary 30 years of dedication to our community as a member of the Whittlesea Lions Club. 🎖️

Our President, Zach, was joined by fellow Rotarians Lex and Des to make the presentation. It was a fantastic moment of two great service organisations coming together to celebrate a local hero who has given so much to Whittlesea over three decades.

Congratulations, Jim! Your commitment is an inspiration to us all. 🤝✨

Stronger together. 🤝

Last night, the Rotary Club of Whittlesea and the Lions Club of Whittlesea came together at Lions Club Park for our annual joint barbecue. While this is always a highlight of our calendar, this year’s gathering carried a deeper sense of purpose.

President Jim (Lions) and President Zach (Rotary) spoke to the group, acknowledging the incredibly difficult start our regional communities have faced in 2026. With the ongoing bushfire crisis and the State of Disaster affecting so many of our neighbors, our thoughts are with everyone currently on the front lines or facing the long road to recovery.

Despite the challenges, the evening was filled with optimism. We have renewed our united commitment to doing whatever we can to help those in need. Whether it’s through local service or supporting broader relief efforts, our two clubs stand ready to serve.

Here’s to a year of fellowship, hard work, and making a real difference in the Whittlesea community and beyond. 🇦🇺✨

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Mernda Bunnings sausage sizzle today! 🌭✨

Our team had a fantastic time serving the hungry residents of Mernda and Doreen. It was great to see such a strong community turnout. 100% of the funds raised today will be used to fuel our upcoming community service initiatives, helping us make a tangible difference in the Whittlesea area.

The Rotary Club of Whittlesea also wishes to send our thoughts and strength to the communities currently impacted by bushfires. We are incredibly grateful to the first responders working tirelessly to keep us safe.

🌭 Holiday Spirit at the Monday Market

Reflecting on a great day at the Whittlesea Monday Market just before Christmas! 🎄

A huge thanks to Marilyn, Dawn, Des, Bain, and Alessandra, who represented the Rotary team, serving up sausages and plenty of good vibes. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces out and about, finishing their holiday prep and supporting local community service.

We hope everyone is enjoying a safe and relaxing break with family and friends. We’re already looking forward to more community moments like this in the New Year!
