Congratulations to our KHS P&C member Saba who has been elected as the Riverina Director for the NSW P&C Federation.
Saba’s involvement at a state level helps our P&C with advice and support on governance and compliance matters.
Thankyou Saba!
Meet the Board – please welcome Dr Saba Nabi OAM, our Riverina Director.
For Dr Saba Nabi, parent advocacy has never been just a role - it's been a calling. When she arrived in Wagga Wagga from India in 2012, she did what she's always done - she showed up for her community. More than a decade later, she's still showing up, this time as our Riverina Director.
Being a mum of two and having eleven years of active P&C membership - as Secretary, then President of Sturt Public School P&C Sturt Public School P&C, and Vice-President of Kooringal High P&C has given her a deep understanding of what parent advocacy really looks like at the grassroots level.
Saba is passionate about making sure the voices of rural and regional communities are heard where decisions are made - loudly, clearly, and at the right tables. That passion has taken her to the ECC NSW Committee, the NESA Curriculum Committee, the Multicultural NSW Advisory Board, and a volunteer representative on the taskforce that developed the 2023 NSW Volunteer Charter.
Her service to community health, education and multicultural affairs earned her an Order of Australia Medal. Her commitment to P&C brings her back to our Board as Riverina Director.
Welcome back Saba. The Riverina's voice is in very good hands.
If you would like to nominate to support Saba, as the one of two delegates needed for the Riverina electorate, please head to www.pandc.org.au/by-elections. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]
