Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga Sunrise Inc. Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga Sunrise The Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga Sunrise Inc. has a reputation for fun and fellowship among members.

The Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga Sunrise was formed as a mixed gender breakfast club as it was believed there was a need for a new option to the existing Rotary Clubs in Wagga. Club service projects allow for members to work together and extend friendships beyond the weekly breakfast meetings. The Club is a strong supporter of Rotary District 9705 projects, especially in the areas of Youth Programs. Club members are actively involved on the District Board and Rotary committees.

This week we were privileged to hear the inspiring Heartprint story from founder Wendy O’Brien and Business Manager Srey Pheap Bor, introduced by Kathy Wallace from Help Cambodia Wagga.

Heartprint is transforming lives in rural Cambodia through safe housing, education, nutrition programs, childcare and community support for vulnerable children and families.

One of the most moving parts of the presentation was learning about the homes Heartprint builds for families living in extreme poverty. These safe and secure houses provide far more than shelter β€” they restore dignity, stability and hope for the future. Built in partnership with local communities, the homes give children a safer environment to grow, learn and thrive.

We also heard how Rotary assist with a playground project and DisasterAid water filters are helping improve everyday life for families and refugee communities in Cambodia.

Thank you to Wendy and Peap for visiting us and sharing your passion, compassion and vision for a brighter future for Cambodian families. πŸ’›

What a fabulous Irish breakfast this week!
Every one was entertained by three gorgeous Irish dancers.
It was fabulous to celebrate our newest member, Anne, with an Irish morning. We also welcomed her husband, Damion, along with three of the most clever dancing leprechauns.
Thank you to you all, and may the luck of the Irish be with you

This morning Phil Hoey came to our meeting and provided training on our new defibrillator. Phil's career as a paramedic and trainer of paramedics gave the opportunity for club members to ask questions and be given real world examples of what may occur during an emergency where a defibrillator is necessary. Phil also supported the club by providing advice and guidance in the purchase of the most suitable and easy to use defibrillator - thank you Phil!!

The club gratefully acknowledges Transgrid who provided funding to the club through a successful grant application to purchase the defibrillator and a generator.
