Welcome to Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga

Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga opened in March 2005. We welcome families from throughout the Riverina, South West Slopes and beyond, while their children receive medical treatment in Wagga Wagga. We are located at 300 Edward Street Wagga Wagga one block from Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, Calvary Hospital and Day Proced

ure Units. The House is also located in close proximity to specialist consulting rooms and the Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital Dental Clinic. Our special House provides a home away from home for families with sick or injured children, and expectant mothers, receiving medical treatment or attending medical appointments in Wagga Wagga, enabling families to stay together. Day use of the house is also available for families. Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga features four bedrooms. Baby cots are available. Other features of the House include a comfortable lounge room activities room for the children, modern kitchen facilities where families may prepare their own meals and sun filled family room. Hot Chocolate & Beanie Week is back! ☕🧣
15th – 22nd June

Join your local school, workplace or community group for a day during the week and host a Hot Chocolate & Beanie Day in support of Ronald McDonald House South West NSW.

Pop on your favourite beanie, enjoy a hot chocolate, and donate a gold coin to help families when they need it most.

This year, we’re aiming to raise enough to provide 30 nights of accommodation for families staying close to their child’s care.

This weekend each family staying with us will now have a special visit from the Easter Bunny packed with special goodies for them and their children. Thank you!!

We can’t believe Easter is just around the corner! 🐣

Every family staying with us receives a special Easter hamper to bring a little comfort and joy during their time here.

We’re currently seeking donations of Easter items to help us create these hampers.
Any support, big or small, would mean so much to the families who call our House home—especially during a time that can be so challenging.

Ronald McDonald House South West NSW provides a comfortable, supportive home away from home for families travelling for their child’s medical care.

If you live more than 100km from Wagga and need accommodation while your child is in hospital, you may be eligible to stay with us.

We’re here to make a difficult time a little easier — with a warm bed, home-cooked meals, and a community who understands.

Last Thursday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming members of our local Wagga Netball Club along with the wonderful ladies from l to Ronald McDonald House and the Family Room at Wagga Base Hospital.

The girls generously gifted presents to all the children currently undergoing treatment on the paediatric ward, bringing smiles and so much joy to their day.

It was truly special to meet the teams, and we’re incredibly grateful for the love and positivity they shared with families on the ward. 💛

🎉 Happy 8th Birthday to the RMHC Family Room at Wagga Base Hospital! 🎉

Today we celebrate eight incredible years of providing comfort, care, and calm to families with a child in hospital. Since opening our doors, the Family Room has been a sanctuary for thousands of parents, carers, and siblings needing a moment to breathe, rest, or simply be together during some of their toughest days.

From a warm cup of tea to a quiet space to regroup, every moment in the Family Room is made possible thanks to our generous volunteers, supporters, and the unwavering partnership with Wagga Base Hospital. Your kindness ensures families never have to face their hospital journey alone.
Here’s to eight years of compassion, connection, and community — and to many more ahead 💛
