“THE FUTURE IS EVERYONE”
International Men’s Day – November 19, 2026
The global leadership team of International Men’s Day (IMD) has announced this year’s theme: The Future Is Everyone.
First celebrated in 1999 by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh, IMD is now recognised in more than 80 countries worldwide. Dr Teelucksingh has long said, “When we help our men, we have good men in a family. The wife benefits, the girlfriend benefits. With a good man in a family, the children benefit.”
This year’s theme is a generous invitation — not division, but collaboration. It speaks to real inclusion, genuine equality, and the importance of men and women working together for stronger families and healthier societies.
Warwick Marsh (co-founder of Dads4Kids) reminds us that one of the pillars of IMD is to improve gender relations and promote gender equality, calling on everyone to unite in building a better world for men and boys — and women and girls. Nat Marsh (CEO of Dads4Kids) adds that the goal is simple: helping dads be the best they can be.
Writer and advocate Lisa Britton reflected, “Rather than saying the future is female, I believe that the future is everyone.” Her hope is to see more women, more organisations, more nations — and even the United Nations — supporting this shared vision.
In 2026, the International Council for Men and Boys is also advocating for:
• Formal UN recognition of International Men’s Day
• Transparent reporting on outcomes for males and females across UN programs
• Endorsement of the New York Declaration for Men and Boys
By bringing males and females together in partnership, International Men’s Day seeks to create positive global change.
The Future Is Everyone.
