This weekend we had 4 scouts from Motton Preston, Turners Beach and Ulverstone represent the Leven District in a combined patrol at the Neil Coates competition camp where they took home the Alan Wood Memorial trophy and the Neil Coates Trophy!!

Our scouts showed what teamwork and leadership can achieve even with scouts they’ve only met a handful of times! With some fierce competition from City of Devonport and Spreyton scouts also in attendance our scouts had lots of fun, made some new friends and made some memories they’ll remember for a lifetime!

Well done to all involved!

Happy 75th Birthday, Gene!

We celebrated Gene’s 75th birthday with cake, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he continues to do for Scouting.

Gene Raspin is a former District Commissioner for Leven and, for a time, Mersey and at 75, he’s still climbing on roofs, painting, whipper-snipping and lending a hand around Paton Park!

What an amazing Scouter and an incredible contribution to our Scouting community.

Many thanks, Gene Paton Park looks as great as it does because of people like you!

We hope you had a wonderful 75th birthday!
