Our Joeys had a fantastic night challenging themselves with crate stacking and the slackline! It was great to see everyone having a go, building their confidence and supporting each other as they took on the challenges.

A huge thank you to Will and Amy for running the night and for encouraging and supporting our youth every step of the way!

Well done, Joeys! 👏

A huge thank you to the SES crew of Ulverstone!

Our Scouts and Cubs had a fantastic night visiting the Tasmania SES Central Coast Unit and getting a hands-on look at the work their volunteers do for our community.

A massive thank you to the SES volunteers who gave up their time to show everyone around, answer plenty of questions and get our Scouts and Cubs involved. They had an absolute ball!

Nights like this are a great opportunity for our young people to learn from those who are out there helping our community when it matters most.

Thank you SES crew of Ulverstone — from all of us at 1st/2nd Ulverstone Scouts. ⚜️

People helping people. Safer communities. Stronger together.

🏆 Neil Coates Competition Camp 2026 🏆

What a weekend for Leven District!

Four Scouts from across the district — two from Motton Preston, one from Turners Beach and one from Ulverstone — came together as a combined Leven patrol to compete against Spreyton and City of Devonport.

Despite only having met each other a handful of times, they worked incredibly well as a team throughout the weekend, showing leadership, teamwork, campcraft and pioneering skills across the competition activities.

Their efforts paid off, with the Leven patrol taking home both the Allan Wood Memorial Trophy and the Neil Coates Trophy! 🏆🏆

It was great to see Scouts from different groups come together, make new friends, support each other and represent Leven District so well.

A huge congratulations to the four Scouts, and thank you to all the Leaders, volunteers and organisers who helped make the weekend possible.

Well done Leven! ⚜️💚

Scouting is built on friendship, connection and looking out for one another.

Today, take a moment to check in with your friends, family and fellow Scouts. A simple “Are you OK?” and a willingness to listen can make a real difference.

💙 Remembering Bobby: A Time to Share and Connect

We invite our Scouting community to drop into the kitchen at the Leven Scout Hall on Sunday, 13 September, anytime between 3:00–6:00pm to spend some time together remembering Bobby.

☕ Have a cuppa, grab a snack and stay for a chat.

📖 Add a story, anecdote or special memory to Bobby’s Memory Book.

📸 Have some photos of Bobby? Bring them along and we’ll share them on the screen throughout the afternoon.

💌 Cards will also be available to write a message of condolence.

There’s no formal service or program — just a chance to come together, share memories, connect and look out for one another, just as Bobby would have liked. 💙

Please share this with all Scouting families, past and present, so everyone who would like to can join us.

National Child Protection Week | 6–12 September

Every child and young person deserves to feel safe, supported and heard.

Across Scouting, we all play a part in creating safe environments where young people can learn, grow, explore and belong.

This National Child Protection Week, we encourage everyone to keep the conversation going and continue putting the safety and wellbeing of young people first.

At Scouts Australia, every conversation with a young person is an opportunity to listen, build trust and help them feel safe, valued and respected.
This National Child Protection Week (6-12 September), let’s turn conversations about child safety into meaningful action.
