National Child Protection Week | 6–12 September

Every child and young person deserves to feel safe, supported and heard.

Across Scouting, we all play a part in creating safe environments where young people can learn, grow, explore and belong.

This National Child Protection Week, we encourage everyone to keep the conversation going and continue putting the safety and wellbeing of young people first.

At Scouts Australia, every conversation with a young person is an opportunity to listen, build trust and help them feel safe, valued and respected.
This National Child Protection Week (6-12 September), let’s turn conversations about child safety into meaningful action.

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing fathers and father figures in our Scouting family! 💙

Today, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated Leaders who go above and beyond - not only guiding our Scouts but also serving as mentors, role models, and father figures. Your patience, wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering commitment help shape the next generation into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

Thank you for the countless hours you give, the lessons you teach, and the positive impact you make in the lives of our youth. Happy Father's Day!

Have you ever wished you could be part of a Rovers but can’t get to a physical Unit?

We're looking at starting a Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit for Rovers who are geographically isolated or don't have access to a local Unit.

Members would have the opportunity to attend Rover camps, events, and activities throughout the year to connect with the wider Rover community in person.

Lone groups in other states and countries have shown that online Rovering can be a great way to stay involved, make friends, and create new opportunities for adventure and development.

Before we go any further, we'd love to hear from you!

• Would you be interested in joining a Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit?
• What types of activities would you like to see?
• When do you think it should happen?

Drop your thoughts in the comments, send us a message or let us know by filling out the form found in the comments.

Your feedback will help shape what our Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit could look like.

Last night was a quieter Scout night, but still a really productive one! ⚜️

With one of our members there, we made the most of the extra one-on-one time to work through some badge and progression work, talk about what she wants to achieve, and start building towards her taking on more leadership next term. 💪

Big few weeks coming up — time to get camp ready! 😄⚜️

⚜️ PIONEERING IN ACTION! ⚜️

Last night our 1st & 2nd Ulverstone Scouts got stuck into a fantastic pioneering project — building a Scout display in the shop window at 33 Queen Street, West Ulverstone.

Using poles, rope, lashings and plenty of teamwork, our Scouts helped turn an empty shopfront into something that shows the community what Scouting is all about — learning practical skills, working together, having a go and creating something as a team. 🪢💪

And the display isn’t going anywhere just yet! It’ll be staying in the window for the community to see, so if you’re passing by, stop and have a look! 👀⚜️

A big thank you to everyone who helped bring it together. Brilliant effort from our Scouts and leaders!
