Nearly 14 years ago, my wife Louise and I started Victory House.

Since then we’ve had the privilege of watching countless lives transformed. My brother Chris, and many other past residents, are living proof that addiction can be beaten.

But what many people don’t know is that Victory House was born out of my own story.

For years I carried pride. I thought I could fix myself. I thought asking for help was weakness. The harder I fought in my own strength, the more trapped I became. Everything changed the day I humbled myself.

The day I stopped pretending I had it all together. The day I asked for help. The day I surrendered my heart to God. That moment didn’t just change my circumstances, it changed me. Recovery wasn’t found in trying harder. It was found in surrender.

Recently I sat down and shared my story openly and honestly on a podcast. If you’re struggling with addiction, or if someone you love is, I pray my story reminds you that there is always hope.

No one is beyond redemption. No one is too far gone. Freedom is possible.

What an incredible moment it was celebrating Luke Whittaker’s graduation from Victory House.

Luke’s journey is a powerful testimony of what God can do in a life that is surrendered, supported, and willing to change. From walking through his own season of transformation, Luke is now helping others take the same steps forward as the Victory House Coordinator.

His story is one of restoration, leadership, and purpose — a reminder that God does not just bring us out, He can use our story to help bring others out too.

We were so proud to celebrate Kayla Weston’s graduation from Victory House.

Kayla is one of only two women to graduate from the program, making this milestone especially significant. Her testimony is one of courage, perseverance, and a future being rewritten by God.

Kayla is now looking to take up an opportunity to study law through an internship pathway, with a desire to one day help others in the prison system who are wanting to turn their lives around.

What a powerful picture of redemption — a life restored, and now a heart set on helping restore others.

We celebrated the graduation of Zephaniah Gibson from Victory House, and his testimony is one that truly shows the power of redemption.

At one point in his life, Zephaniah was in a coma for a week following a drug overdose. But his story did not end there. God has brought incredible restoration, healing, and purpose into his life.

Having now completed the Victory House program, Zephaniah is serving as a Victory House Supervisor, helping support other men as they walk their own journey toward freedom and change.

It was a privilege to celebrate Damon Mathews’ graduation from Victory House and hear his remarkable testimony.

After a serious accident that left him with a broken back, Damon faced a difficult road marked by depression and addiction. But through faith, support, and the transforming power of God, his life has been miraculously restored.

Today, Damon is back in full-time work and moving forward with renewed strength, hope, and purpose.

His story is a powerful reminder that even after deep pain and setback, restoration is possible.

A huge day for Victory House!

We’ve been incredibly blessed with a brand new tractor for the farm generously provided through Tursa. This machine is more than equipment… it’s a tool that will help rebuild lives.

Our farm plays a massive role in the rehabilitation journey: growing fresh food, building purpose and discipline, working together as a team, and creating a space where men can heal, recover and restart.

This tractor will help us expand our farm work, maintain the property, and continue offering meaningful hands-on training for the men in our program.
