We’re inviting members of our Jopuka community to be part of the Video Cast for our upcoming production of Dear Adults...

The Video Cast will contribute recorded responses that may be incorporated into the production, providing another way for children, young people and members of our community to have their voices included in the show.

These video scenes are going to be played between the live action scenes. All video cast will be credited in the program and will be invited to attend the cast party on opening night.

If you would like to participate, please complete the Video Cast form using the link below or scan the QR code on the first page of the attached flyer.

https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/tUvC69Ub2Z

Once we have received your form, we will send you a selection of scripted responses, along with some questions that invite you to provide responses in your own words. You can then record and submit your videos following the instructions provided.

Please note that all video contributions will be reviewed for suitability for inclusion in Dear Adults....

Submission of a video does not guarantee that it will appear in the final production. The Director will determine which contributions, or parts of contributions, are included based on their suitability, relevance and the creative requirements of the production. Videos may be edited, shortened or excluded at the Director’s discretion.

All Video Cast Members are required to be members of Jopuka Productions Inc. If you are not already a member, completing the form will also constitute your application for membership.

The standard membership fee is $10. This fee does not apply to Life Members and may also be waived at the discretion of the Jopuka Productions Board.

We would love to have you involved in Dear Adults... and look forward to seeing the responses our Video Cast brings to the production.

Kind regards,
Jopuka Youth Arts

📣Calling 8 - 18 year olds! Auditions for Dear Adults are this weekend. 📣

What if the next generation had just one chance to tell us what they're really thinking?

What would they say about the world we've created? What would they ask us to change? What do they wish we understood?

Dear Adults… by Virag Dombay and Harry Fritsch is a moving and deeply thought-provoking verbatim theatre production created from the real-life stories, questions and perspectives of young people aged 6–18. Honest, courageous, funny and confronting, their words reveal the hopes, fears and frustrations that adults too often fail to hear.

This powerful production doesn't just give young people a voice—it asks adults to truly listen. As their stories unfold, audiences are invited to reflect on the world through the eyes of a child and consider the responsibility we all share in shaping their future.

The experience continues after the curtain falls. Audience members are invited to write their own letter to an adult or child in their lives—or leave it in the show's mailbox—creating a lasting conversation between generations.

Some letters are impossible to ignore. This is one of them.
