When Did You Last Actually Check In With Yourself?

Not with someone else. With yourself. Your shoulders, your jaw, your gut. Right now, are you tense? Tired? Running on fumes? Most of us are so busy managing everything around us that we forget to notice what our own body is quietly trying to say.

That tension in your neck, the brain fog that won't lift, the tiredness that sleep doesn't seem to fix. These are signals, not complaints. Your body keeps score even when your mind tells you to push through.

This week on the walk, we're asking a simple question: What is your body telling you right now? No diagnosis needed. No deep dive required. Just a chance to slow down, move side-by-side with others who get it, and maybe notice a few things you've been too flat-out to pay attention to.

If you've been meaning to show up, this is your week. New faces are always welcome. No need to book, no pressure to talk, no judgment from anyone. Just turn up as you are, whether you're feeling great or running on empty.

Meet: FROM 7am at Cafe 2261 for a chat.
Walk: 7:30am Start.
Return: by 8:30am for coffee and breakfast

SAY G'DAY TO A STRANGER THIS WEEK

Here's a challenge for you this week: next time you're out and about, say hello to someone you don't know. A nod. A "how ya going." It sounds small, but it's one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself and for the person on the receiving end.

We've quietly drifted into a world where we walk past dozens of people every day without making eye contact. Loneliness is quietly doing damage in our communities, and the fix isn't complicated. Sometimes it starts with a simple hello to a stranger on a footpath. Connection is a muscle, and like any muscle, it needs a workout.

If you've been thinking about coming down to a walk but haven't taken the step yet, this week is the perfect time. No booking, no pressure to share anything, no awkward icebreakers. Just show up, fall into step with whoever is around, and see what happens. We've had blokes and women turn up for the first time not knowing a single soul, and leave feeling like they've known the crew for years. New faces are always welcome.

πŸ“ Meet: FROM 7am at Cafe 2261
πŸ”” Walk: 7:30am Start.

We walk side-by-side every single week, rain, hail, or shine. Come say g'day to a stranger. You might just make a mate.

WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR RIGHT NOW?

Life gets loud. The bills stack up, the to-do list never ends, and it is easy to forget that there are still good things happening right in the middle of all of it.

This week on the walk, we are keeping it simple. One question. One answer. No wrong responses. Just a chance to slow down, put one foot in front of the other, and share something that is actually going right. You might be surprised how much lighter you feel after saying it out loud to someone walking right beside you.

New faces, you are more than welcome this week. No need to book, no need to talk if you are not feeling it, and absolutely no pressure to share. Just show up, fall into step, and see how you go. There are no circles, no clipboards, and no awkward icebreakers. Just people walking side-by-side.

Meet: FROM 7am at Cafe 2261
Walk: 7:30am Start. And be back by 8:30am for coffee and breakfast.
