On a gloriously eerie halloween morning, Pioneer Dairy Parkrun was taken over by zombies, witches, scary clowns, zombie brides, a giant skeleton, and many other fearful creatures.

We welcomed 84 creatures to Pioneer Dairy, of this there were 14 first timers, 3 of those participated in their first ever parkrun. We hope you weren't too scared and will come back again once we have warned off the creatures back to their swampy homes from where they came.

Congratulations to the 14 creatures who achieved a PB today. Clearly being chased by zombies and witches was a bit of a motivator.

Congratulations to Bry, Arora, Jasmin and Gerard on your parkrun tombstones... errr I mean milestones.

As always big thanks to the 18 volunteers for giving up your run and time to make this frightful event possible.

After a fun event last week, we're off in a totally different direction this week. Turns out we have a few peeps who like a good Halloween dress-up, so you're welcome to do your scariest!

Course check completed yesterday & things are looking all green, lush & lovely.

What a wonderful morning it was celebrating Julie Brock's incredible achievement crossing from Perth to Sydney at parkrun.

Today we welcomed 110 people to Pioneer Dairy of this there were 19 first timers, 4 of those participated in their first ever parkrun. Congratulations to the 21 people who achieved a PB today.
Congratulations to Jesse, Anne, Florence and Natalie on your parkrun milestones.

Thanks to the 18 + (Will our BBQ chef) volunteers for giving up your time to make this event possible.

Hard to wrap your head around Julie’s run? We know it is, so to give people a sense of it, our master sign maker Justin 👏🏻 churned out signs 🪧 for some key milestones along the way!

In order (with rough distance estimates) from Cottesloe Beach, Perth:

Norseman - 721km
90-mile straight - 1090km
Nullabor - 1919km
Flinders Ranges - 2537km
Hay Plains - 3214km
Hume Hwy (near Yass) - 3664km
Bondi Beach - 3933km

Thankfully it didn’t re-traumatize Julie, but then the whole thing didn’t seem to phase her too much. But one thing’s for sure…Australia is a bloody big country!

Such a fun morning, on a beautiful spring day! ☀️🍃

Great to see Julie back after her big adventure, so during the briefing we called out some stats from her epic run, considered what it would be like to run for 48 days straight & noted how we can be inspired & positively influenced by lots of different people around us…which is one of the great things about parkrun!

Then we properly inducted her into the Moo Crew 🐮 with a shirt & surprised her by getting some slushie machines in to serve her favourite drink…now known as Julie Juice! 🥤

Thanks to the team 🧡 the BBQ brekkie went off well again & the post-run/walk mingling was pretty awesome.

Next week: Halloween! 🎃 👻

From what I’ve heard, the Fun Directors are on it, so I’m likely to be running scared 😱
