A great variety of presentations at our club meeting last night 😊
2nd Vice District Governor David Bradshaw shared this year’s message and handed out some awards. Then we heard the Helen Keller story for Sight month, and enjoyed some Vietnam views from President Aussie’s recent holiday.
And we re-introduced Jag the Joker for a bit of in-house fun. 🃏

Happy National Wellbeing Day! To feel good every day, look after your physical, mental, social and emotional needs, and share your successful strategies with others. Reach out if you need help!
On Saturday we provided conversation and resources at the Wounded Heroes Centre in Townsville, and on Sunday 5 of our members (and a few friends) joined the community walk to Lift the Lid on Mental Health.
Doing our bit to keep the focus on mental health and wellbeing.

How much aircraft fuel will $6,000 buy? This is the amount we have just donated to Angel Flight to help their volunteer pilots transport patients from rural and remote parts of Australia to their hospital appointments in major cities.
The funds were raised at Shoot for a Cause on 30 August, when our Lions club, together with Townsville Sporting Shooters Association, hosted a friendly day of target shooting for 100 eager participants.
