The main aim of the "Alumni Avele Agricultural College" Qld Australia (AAAC) is to maintain a core community engagement with the former pupils in the hope of continuing and reviving culture, diversity and youth development. ation. AAAC - HISTORY OF AVELE IN BRIEF:
Avele College is located in the island of Upolu, Samoa. At an estimate terrain elevation above sea level of 125 meters, a perfect setting for an evergreen plantation. In November 1923, it was cleared and cultivated to allow the establishment of the South Pacific regional Agricultural College, attended by students from other island such as Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands, Tuvalu, American Samoa, and New Zealand. The initiative emphasizes the benefits that environmentally sustain- able agriculture can deliver other opportunity of employments. We believe in developing lifelong values, learning skills that will benefit families, future generation, and community for success in life. AAAC - OUR MISSION:
“BRINGING AGRICULTURE TO LIFE”. AAAC seek to provide the best possible education for our children in an environment which is permeated by many modern challenges. Our mission is to enable our youths to learn and experience the Samoan Culture, appreciate where we all started “THE LAND”. Be open minded and accepting of others differences. AAAC - FUTURE GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
To develop a new community engagement plan that need to broaden the stakeholder and participant base as well as developing and implementing a sustainability plan for AAAC. Our goal is to develop a multicultural center which provide a space for all cultures to express themselves openly without hostility or rejection. Our main objective is to preserve, innovate the rich diversity and the uniqueness of various cultures, that makes Australia the best place to live. AAAC - UPCOMING EVENTS:
