SCA is a small team of volunteers dedicated to helping cats in need throughout Toowoomba, Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley & Southern Qld.

SCA Qld is a small team of volunteers dedicated to helping community cats in need within the Toowoomba Region and throughout Southern Queensland. We rescue cats who have found themselves homeless for whatever reason – cats in regional pounds where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation, cats surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances, abandoned and homeless s

trays, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We provide shelter, medical aid, vetting, and everyday care to these cats until their forever homes are found. TO DONATE:
As a not-for-profit charity organisation, SCA Qld does not receive government funding and all life-saving funds come from the generous donors who believe in our vision - to live in a community where no kitten is born wild on the street, and where no cat capable of living in a home is lacking one. UPDATE: The wonderful team at REDvets Toowoomba called this morning with good news — Shirley made it through the night and seems to be responding to IV antibiotics 🙏🏼 We’re hoping for more positive updates this evening.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent love her way. We’ve received an incredible $2400 so far, which should cover her ER care until tonight. You’ve given this tiny fighter a real chance 💕

And to Nadine, whose extraordinary $2000 donation took our breath away — thank you. Your generosity has allowed us to focus on Shirley, not the mounting costs.

🚨URGENT: Shirley is fighting for her life tonight🚨

Our tiny sweetheart Shirley has been rushed to the emergency clinic after suddenly deteriorating today. She has a severe E. coli infection in her lungs — an intestinal bacteria that should never be there. The vets have told us this is extremely rare and very serious.

Shirley is now oxygen‑dependent and needs IV fluids, IV antibiotics, and around the clock care to have any chance of making it through the night. Without this care, she would likely not survive until morning.

Her emergency treatment is estimated at $1,500 for the first 12 hours, and depending on how she responds, costs could reach up to $4,000.

We’ve said yes to treatment — because she deserves that chance.
Now we’re asking our community to help us fight for her.

Two events, two adoptions, $800+ raised — and a whole lot of love shared 💚

A massive thank you to Petstock Country Plainland, PETstock Anzac Ave Toowoomba, and the Petstock Foundation for hosting us for the Petstock Foundation National Pet Adoption Weekend on 23rd and 24th of May.

We truly appreciate each and every one of our amazing supporters who came to see us across the weekend. Every sanga, cuddle, and donation helps our foster cats and kittens receive the quality care they deserve. 🐾💚

Our Gwyn is currently being investigated by local authorities for multiple counts of ‘excessive cuteness’ and ‘assault with a deadly weapon’ (those EYES 👀 and his purr machine!) myPolice Darling Downs finally caught up to him at Petstock Country Plainland where we are celebrating National Adoption Month. Unfortunately, it looks like Gwyn may be having additional charges added for ‘bribing an officer’ with exceptional cuddles and ‘interfering with an investigation’! How was he to know?? 🥺

Luckily Gwyn hasn’t been arrested today but he’s been warned that the investigation is ongoing and they will be in touch! Gwyn doesn’t mind as long as that includes more scritches 🤷‍♀️ We promise he’s just an affectionate guy and he’s never hurt anyone! Gwyn has nothing to hide so we will be at Petstock Country Plainland until 2pm, come meet him and our other kittens and you can decide for yourself whether you think he is guilty of the crimes he is being accused of.

It's the 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, and we’re shining a light on the cats who have waited the longest — the shy, the gentle, the grown ups who didn’t get the same head start as the confident little kittens.

🎮 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 — 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 & 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐩! These sweethearts were rescued with their mum Bee after being found living in the bush beside a highway. With love, care, and plenty of XP gained in foster, they’ve blossomed into sweet, affectionate young adults who are SO ready to find their forever buddies.

🌿 Alley is our sweet shy goddess who warms up slowly but loves deeply once she trusts you.
⚡ Sheep is the playful little shadow who adores pats, zoomies, and big dog friends.

Both girls are beautifully social with other cats, gentle, tidy, and full of quiet charm. They just need patient adopters willing to let them settle at their own pace — and once they do, they’re pure treasure.
