April this year, members of our 11th Light Horse Darling Downs Troop made the trek down to Corryong to take part in the incredible Man From Snowy River Bush Festival!
Before hitting the main stage, the troop teamed up with riders from New South Wales and Victoria for practice sessions to perfect their display events.
It was an honour to represent and pay tribute through a busy week of events:
- Attended a moving service at the Cenotaph
- Shared the powerful history of wartime enlistment at the Re-enactment
- Joined Riley's Riders for the ride to the cemetery to celebrate the life of legendary Jack Riley
- Proudly led the Grand Parade down the main street of Corryong!

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support the troops and keep the Light Horse story alive.

Hi. The 11th Light Horse Darling Downs Troop is a volunteer group of horse riders and ground crew keeping alive the spirit of the Light Horse through displays, parades and competition. We have a wonderful and well organised Troop Commander looking after events.
Members of the troop attended many parades and services during the recent ANZAC Day Commemorations. Many thanks to all the Troopers and their support teams for taking part and acknowledging this important day and the contributions made by animals in warfare. There was representation at Goondiwindi, Rathdowney, Marburg, Murphys Creek and Beaudesert.
If you have any questions please contact Troop Commander, Chris Rohan - 0448 533 632
