Well… time has absolutely sprinted past us 🏃‍♀️💨 and it’s come to our attention that a *few* parents (not naming names… but definitely not you, Dads 😏) may have missed the deadline to order gifts for tomorrow’s stall!

Never fear—we’ve got you covered 🙌 We’ll be accepting cash on the day tomorrow for our amazing, thoughtfully packed gifts, because there’s no way we’re letting our loved ones miss out 💝

Just a friendly reminder that there are only *7 days left* to purchase your Mother’s Day gifts! Each gift has been thoughtfully packed with love by our amazing P&C volunteers 💝

Orders close Monday 4 May, as Mother’s Day is fast approaching next weekend — don’t miss out on spoiling those special people in your life!
Stall will be held on Wednesday 6 May for your children to pick which gifts they would like from a lovely and specially selected variety 🤩

🛤 🚂 The countdown is on! 🚂 🛤 The Festival of Steam Street Parade is only THREE WEEKS AWAY, and we are thrilled to be leading the parade this year!

This year’s theme is “Rockin’ the Rails”, and we encourage all students and staff to come along, dress up and join in the fun! There will be prizes for "Best Dressed School", but wearing m***i is also welcome 🤗

PARADE DETAILS:

💙 Date: Sunday, 17 May, 2026
💙 Meeting Time: 10:30 am - meet Mrs Heyburgh and our P&C President, Sarah, for muster. After signing in your child, parents/carers may leave.
💙 Meeting Location: Carpark in front of Bottlemart Thirlmere (near IGA)
💙 Parade Time: 11 am

Important: Students must be collected from the school grounds near the Cola B bus bay at the conclusion of the parade.

Below are some examples of how students have dressed up in previous years, however m***i is absolutely welcome 😊 We can’t wait to see you there!

What a fantastic way to start Term 2! We’re thrilled to have received two generous donations to the P&C recently.

Our friends at 2BFIT Dance2bfit Challenge2bfit Move2bfit have kindly donated $50 towards our Mother’s Day Stall. These funds will support our Pay It Forward initiative, helping ensure that all students can purchase a special gift for someone important in their lives 🩷

We’ve also received an incredible $715.69 donation from IGA Thirlmere through their Community Chest program! ❤️

Two wonderful examples of community spirit and coming together to achieve something truly meaningful for our students. We are so grateful for your support! 🤗

🌸💝 Mother’s Day is coming… and we have something beautiful planned! 💝🌸

Our Mother’s Day Gift Stall is the perfect opportunity for the kids to choose something special for the amazing mums, carers, and loved ones in their lives 💐

At just $9 per gift, they can pick something meaningful that’s sure to bring a big smile (and maybe even a happy tear!) 🥰

✨ There’s no limit on how many gifts can be purchased – because one just might not be enough when it comes to showing love!

💡 We strongly encourage pre-payment via Munch Monitor so your child has access to the full range of gifts. Please note that cash on the day will be limited, and we’d hate for anyone to miss out.

💖 We also love our “Pay It Forward” option – a small act of kindness that helps another family feel the joy of Mother’s Day.

Let’s make this a beautiful celebration filled with love, gratitude, and thoughtful surprises 🌷

And just like that, Term 1 has come to an end - what a busy start to the year it’s been!

We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved break 🤗

Today also marks the final day of our P&C run canteen - a bittersweet moment for our school community. Since its opening, the canteen has been powered by volunteers, with paid staff only introduced in the last few years. It has been far more than just a place to buy food; it has been a hub where parents, friends, grandparents, and extended family members came together to support our students and contribute meaningfully to school life, and form lifelong connections.

Thank you to everyone who has given their time, energy, and care over the years - your contribution has made a lasting impact and is truly valued 💙

From Term 2, the canteen will transition to a new and exciting operating model under our successful tender, Mel’s Lunchbox. For all canteen enquiries moving forward, please contact the school office. You can also follow Mel's Lunchbox on Facebook!

🚨 Update from School Bytes 🚨

We are excited to welcome Mel's Lunchbox to our school canteen from next term.

As we say goodbye and thankyou to our current Canteen Manager, Candice Payseno, we warmly welcome Mikayla Maarseveen who will be stepping into the role.

Mel's Lunchbox will bring a new menu and will also be open for breakfast purchases before school.

Online ordering will still be available through Munch Monitor.

We’re pleased to let you know that our school canteen will be open tomorrow and Wednesday for regular service.

On Thursday, the canteen will be open exclusively for the advertised Meal Deal only. Please note that there will be no additional treats sold on that day 🌸🐰
