Strong communities are built by people who give their time.

For more than 60 years, Tennis North has been part of the Northern Tasmanian community, bringing people together through a shared love of tennis.

Behind the competitions, tournaments, junior opportunities and community events are volunteers who give their time to keep local tennis active. From organising weekly pennants to supporting clubs, welcoming new players and creating opportunities for young people, their contribution extends well beyond the court.

Tennis North helps create spaces where players, families, volunteers and clubs can connect, build friendships and remain part of their community across generations.

Thank you to the volunteers, clubs and supporters who continue to give their time and keep tennis thriving across Northern Tasmania.

Healthy communities begin with stronger local connections.
For more than 30 years, Eat Well Tasmania has been helping connect people, growers, educators, and communities to build a healthier future across Tasmania.

By encouraging access to seasonal local food, supporting community initiatives, and sharing practical knowledge that empowers families to make informed food choices, they're strengthening the connections between the people who grow food and the communities who enjoy it.

Making space for community. 🤝
At Newman Christian Fellowship in Launceston, their doors are open to more than a congregation.

Throughout the week, their space brings together local families, community groups and organisations creating opportunities for connection, support and belonging.

From breakfasts for local children and after-school BBQs, to community gatherings, prayer groups and shared spaces for local organisations, these everyday contributions help create a stronger sense of community across northern Launceston.

It’s a reminder that community impact isn’t always about doing something big. Sometimes, it’s about opening your doors, making space for others and being there when people need connection.
