On Wednesday, the North Group Social Support enjoyed a lively and engaging day together. Participants gathered to watch the World Cup soccer match featuring Croatia, creating a warm and energetic atmosphere as they cheered on their team. The group then shared a hearty traditional lunch prepared by our cook. The day concluded with a cheerful celebration of this month’s birthdays, bringing smiles and a strong sense of community among participants.

U srijedu je Grupa društvene potpore na sjeveru uživala u živahnom i zanimljivom zajedničkom druženju. Članovi grupe okupili su se kako bi pratili utakmicu Svjetskog prvenstva u nogometu u kojoj je igrala Hrvatska, stvarajući toplu i energičnu atmosferu dok su navijali za svoju reprezentaciju. Grupa je potom zajedno uživala u obilnom tradicionalnom ručku koji je pripremio naš kuhar. Dan je završen veselim obilježavanjem rođendana slavljenika ovog mjeseca, donoseći osmijehe i jačajući osjećaj zajedništva među članovima grupe.

Creativity and celebration made for a wonderful day at Group Social Support Casey.
Our talented group members continued working on their beautiful vintage plaques, while others transformed old ornaments into something new with a fresh coat of spray paint, proving that a little creativity can go a long way.
The group also celebrated Veljko’s 80th birthday. We wish Veljko a happy birthday and all the best.

Kreativnost i druženje obilježili su još jedan lijep dan u grupi društvene potpore Casey.
Naše vrijedne članice i članovi nastavili su raditi na svojim prekrasnim vintage pločicama, dok su drugi starim ukrasima dali novi život uz svježi sloj boje, pokazujući kako malo kreativnosti može postići puno.
Grupa je također proslavila 80. rođendan Veljka. Veljku želimo sretan rođendan i sve najbolje.

This week, the North Social Group held a special storytelling session where participants brought along old photographs and shared the memories behind them. The activity created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, giving everyone an opportunity to reflect on meaningful experiences and connect through personal stories.
At the same time, the men's group enjoyed a relaxed afternoon playing cards and pool, while also spending time socialising and catching up with one another.

Ovaj tjedan grupa društvene potpore na sjeveru održala je posebno druženje posvećeno pričama i uspomenama, tijekom kojeg su sudionici donijeli stare fotografije i podijelili s grupom sjećanja vezana uz njih. Aktivnost je stvorila toplu i ugodnu atmosferu te pružila priliku za prisjećanje važnih životnih trenutaka i povezivanje kroz osobne priče.
U isto vrijeme, muška grupa uživala je u opuštenom druženju uz kartanje i biljar, kao i u međusobnom razgovoru i druženju.

Today participants from Group Social Support Greater Dandenong were busy crafting beautiful angel wing Christmas decorations, filling the room with creativity and plenty of smiles.
We also celebrated two birthdays and wish Štefica and Mira all the best on their special day. 🎂🎉

Danas su članice grupe društvene potpore Greater Dandenong izrađivale prekrasna anđeoska krila za božićne ukrase, ispunivši prostor kreativnošću i osmijesima.
Također smo proslavili dva rođendana te želimo Štefici i Miri sve najbolje povodom njihovog posebnog dana. 🎂🎉

🌼Learning, Creativity and Celebration at West GSS🌞

Our West GSS Brimbank and Maribyrnong groups enjoyed a wonderful week. We were pleased to welcome Bolton Clarke, who delivered an informative and engaging session about diabetes. Participants learned about the different types of diabetes, prevention strategies, treatment options, and the importance of recognising early warning signs. Thank you, Bolton Clarke. As part of our regular GSS program, members also enjoyed hands-on activities, providing opportunities for creativity, social connection, and fun. The week was made even more special as we celebrated our May birthdays together with laughter, friendship, and good company. As always, everyone enjoyed delicious homemade meals and sweet treats prepared with care.


🌼Učenje, kreativnost i slavlje u grupama u zapadnom dijelu🌞

Naše grupe iz Brimbanka i Maribyrnonga imale su prekrasan tjedan. Bilo nam je zadovoljstvo ugostiti Bolton Clarke, koji je održao informativno i zanimljivo predavanje o dijabetesu. Sudionici su naučili o različitim vrstama dijabetesa, strategijama prevencije, mogućnostima liječenja te važnosti prepoznavanja ranih znakova upozorenja. Kao dio našeg redovitog GSS programa, članovi su također uživali u praktičnim aktivnostima koje su pružile prilike za kreativnost, društveno povezivanje i zabavu. Tjedan je bio još posebniji jer smo zajedno proslavili svibanjske rođendane uz smijeh, prijateljstvo i ugodno društvo. Kao i uvijek, svi su uživali u ukusnim domaćim jelima i slatkim poslasticama pripremljenima s pažnjom.
