Lakeside Carols brings together the community in the City of Port Phillip for a Christmas Carol celebration

We have your festive plans in the bag this year!
Gather your friends, family, mothers’ group, book group, swimming crew, tennis club and your neighbours and have your Xmas catch up at on Saturday 6th December from 5.30pm. Carols start at 7.30pm.

After five amazing years of bringing the festive spirit to our community, the hands-on volunteer team behind Carols by the Bay will be taking a well-deserved break in 2024.

This means there will be no Carols in the Village this year. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll keep an eye out for updates about our plans for 2025.

Lakeside Carols 2019

Get yourself in the holiday spirit the right way by kicking off the Christmas season with an evening singing Christmas songs in your local community. Welcome to all-comers we promise an evening of fun, warmth, laughter and song in the beautiful Lakeside community that we all know and love.

There are three pillars to our event: 1. Community - There is currently no community Christmas carols held in the whole of the city of Port Phillip. Our neighbouring municipalities have community carols and we would like to bring OUR community in a secular setting to celebrate both this wonderful time of year and our beautiful Port Phillip family. 2. Charity - We are thrilled to have St Kilda Mums on board as our charity partner and we are excited to be contributing to the important work they do locally and across the state. Connection - We are currrently facing a global crisis of disconnection, levels of lonliness are rising and if we have the opportunity to bring people together for shared meaningful experiences, we must. As humans, we are wired for connection, we thrive on it and bringing people together to celebrate the holiday season with nourish and support us all.
