Lexi's Legacy

Lexi's Legacy In honour of Lexi Jade Anderson 01.05.13 13.05.13 and all of the precious angels in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit @ Mercy Hospital for Women.

Lexi Jade Anderson was born 01.05.13 at 29 weeks. Like so many other premmie babies, the odds were stacked against her. Lexis new home was the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. After 13 days of fighting an uphill battle, little Lexi lost her fight. There are over 50 babies in the unit at any given time, and therefore are many families directly affected and

face ongoing challenges and struggles. Please join us in raising much needed funds for The Featherweight Fund so that they are able to purchase life changing equipment as well as provide affected families with specialised grief counselling. We are using our experience to help those that may be at a loss and have noone to turn to. Please join us and The Featherweight Fund in giving the babies a fighting chance.

We have been very quiet of late but thought I would jump on and give an update.
This morning we received an email from the kind folks from the Mercy Health Foundation. They thanked us for our years of support. We were also told that due to the budget cuts from the government, the NICU is in need of some financial support.
Would anyone be interested if we put on another event?

*there is a poll on our page about what type of event you would like. We are also open to suggestions*
