We offer group programs and individual support with a friendly and user-centered approach. We offer one-on-one support, personalised for your interests and how you would like your day to unfold. You can undertake a broad range of activities, access your local community, try new things and develop independence with supportive guidance. You can request a staff member who is male or female, of a similar age to you, or that you feel comfortable with. Group Support
Participants share experiences and learn new skills together in our small group programs. You choose the activities you attend, and your timetable is tailored to your personal goals and needs. Wherever possible, we access facilities within the community to conduct our programs and encourage partnerships with other organisations.

The DO Food Truck is Moving!

We're excited to announce that The Do Food Truck is getting a new home at 24 Macedon Street, Sunbury.

From Monday 5 October, you'll find the truck in its new location, nestled between DO's main Sunbury services and Head Office. This is much closer to the heart of Distinctive Options in Sunbury!

The move gives our participants at the Food Truck a more visible and connected home, creating more opportunities for local people to drop in and support a social enterprise providing genuine paid employment for people with disability.

💙 McDougall Road has been an important part of the DO Food Truck's story, and we're grateful to everyone who has supported us there and across the wider Sunbury community. We're excited to build on that support in our new home.

🎤✨ Are you ready for it? ✨🎤

A group of very excited Swiftie fans from DO Sunbury extended hours programs headed to Grazeland Melbourne in Spotswood to see the amazing Taylor Swift Tribute Show! 🎶💃🕺

From the moment the music started, the group was singing and dancing non-stop to all their favourite Taylor hits! They had an absolute ball, with plenty of smiles, laughter and Swiftie spirit throughout the night. ✨💖

Yvette said, “I thought it was great!” ⭐
Stef said, “It was fantastic and I would go and see it again!”🎸🎤 🙌

What an unforgettable night out enjoying great music, dancing, friendship and plenty of fun! 💃🎶✨

🌿💪 Distinctive Options Sunbury Groups - Wellness Warriors 💪🌿

Our Wellness Warriors group is embracing health, wellbeing, and personal growth through our fortnightly Pilates sessions with Kayla from Pilates with KP! 🧘‍♀️✨

These sessions have quickly become a participant favourite, combining movement, stretching, meditation, and plenty of laughs along the way. Participants are building strength, confidence, and healthy routines while encouraging and supporting one another in a positive group environment.

Through activities like Pilates, participants are working towards their NDIS goals by:
✅ Improving physical health and wellbeing
✅ Building confidence and independence
✅ Developing healthy lifestyle habits
✅ Strengthening social connections and friendships
✅ Trying new experiences in a safe and supportive setting

It's inspiring to see everyone challenge themselves, celebrate their achievements, and grow in confidence with each session.

A huge thank you to Kayla from Pilates with KP for helping our Wellness Warriors bend, breathe, and believe in themselves a little more each fortnight. 💙

Focus on Ability is a global film competition celebrating the talents and achievements of people living with disability. And the films get shown on the big screen as well as on SBS.

Our participants put an incredible amount of hard work into these projects, and we would love your support.

Taekwondo Fun and Fitness 💪😊

One of the most popular fitness activities offered through Sunbury's Group Supports at Distinctive Options is our Kick Fit program Hall's Taekwondo in Tullamarine.

Every Thursday, participants come together for a fun, high-energy workout that keeps everyone active, builds confidence, and improves fitness. These sessions also provide a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends, make new connections, and enjoy being part of a supportive community.

We really enjoy seeing everyone challenge themselves, have fun, and celebrate their achievement!

Whether you need respite for a short period of time, or ongoing accommodation support, we'll work alongside you, your family and your support network to find a solution that meets your needs.

We're pleased to let you know that our website is now back up and running!

After a few days of unexpected technical issues, we're officially back online and ready to connect with you again.

We're also inviting you to subscribe to our Community Newsletter, designed to keep you informed about what's happening across our regional services. Each edition will include updates, stories, upcoming events, and information about community information sessions covering topics such as accommodation supports, supported employment opportunities and Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports.
