Sunbury parkrun

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped celebrate parkrun’s 1 millionth event worldwide!

The very first parkrun took place in 2004 at Bushy Park, London with just 18 participants. Fast forward to 2026 and parkrun has grown globally creating a healthier, happier planet through free, weekly events.

This morning we had another fantastic morning at Sunbury parkrun.

111 people walked, jogged and ran our course. We welcomed 26 first timers, while 17 participants achieved new Personal Bests. It was also great to see representatives from 9 different running clubs join us.

Another fantastic morning at Sunbury parkrun!

88 people walked, jogged and ran the course, including 14 first timers joining us for the very first time. Congratulations also to the 14 participants who achieved new Personal Bests, with runners from 7 different clubs represented across the event.

This week 102 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 15 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 7 different clubs took part.

Sunbury parkrun started on 25th November 2017. Since then 4,977 participants have completed 32,561 parkruns covering a total distance of 162,805 km, including 4,833 new Personal Bests. A total of 464 individuals have volunteered 4,591 times.
