The countdown is on! ⏰ 1 DAY TO go until the push up challenge starts!

From June 3 to 26, we’re pushing for better, together.

National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and explore how we can all contribute to reconciliation 🖤💛❤️

This year’s theme, All In, is a reminder that reconciliation isn’t passive, it takes all of us showing up, listening, learning and taking action in our everyday lives.

At headspace, we acknowledge the strength, resilience and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We also recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing commitment, one built through respect, truth-telling, connection and meaningful action. We’re committed to creating culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and communities.

This week, take time to learn from First Nations voices, reflect on the true history of this country and think about what being all in for reconciliation looks like for you.

May 17 marks IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia. 🏳️‍🌈💛

This day recognises the importance of standing together against discrimination and creating safer, more inclusive communities for LGBTQIA+ people.

The date marks May 17, 1990, the day homosexuality was removed from the World Health Organization’s Classification of Diseases. More than 30 years later, LGBTQIA+ communities still experience discrimination, abuse and barriers to feeling safe being themselves.

At headspace, we believe every young person deserves to feel supported, respected and accepted for who they are.

Today and every day, we stand with LGBTQIA+ young people, communities and allies.
