A huge thank you to the Gold Coast Potters Association.

This morning, one of our directors visited the Gold Coast Potters in Benowa and met with the amazing Kirsten, Gallery Manager. We are so grateful that their committee has chosen Birch Foundation to receive all proceeds from this year's Christmas Market Raffle.

Since 1977, the Gold Coast Potters have been a creative heart of our city, offering pottery classes, workshops and their beautiful Post Office Gallery, filled with handmade pieces by local potters.

Mark your calendars for the Gold Coast Potters Christmas Art and Craft Market:
Sunday 29 November, 8am to 1pm
173 Ashmore Road, Benowa
Free entry

Enjoy a great line-up of local makers, pottery demonstrations and live music. It's the perfect place to find unique handmade gifts, support local artists and grab a raffle ticket, with every dollar from the raffle going towards our community outreach for locals doing it tough.

Thank you, Kirsten and the whole Gold Coast Potters family. We hope to see you all there.

💗 EVERYONE DESERVES A LITTLE HELP WHEN TIMES ARE TOUGH

Sometimes, an unexpected expense, a change in circumstances or simply trying to make ends meet can leave very little for everyday essentials.

At Birch Foundation, we understand that life doesn't always go according to plan.

That's why we have our Free Thursday Giveback Initiative.

Every Thursday, we welcome community members experiencing hardship to access:

🛍️ A $30 Op Shop voucher for clothing and everyday essentials.

☕ A $5 drink voucher to enjoy at our community coffee bar.

It's a simple way of offering practical assistance while making sure everyone is treated with kindness, dignity and respect.

📍 Birch Foundation Op Shop
4/127 Nerang Street, Southport
🕚 Every Thursday | 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

A short intake form is required, and conditions apply.

If you know someone who may benefit from this initiative, please help us spread the word.

❤️ Because asking for help should never be something to feel ashamed of.

💙 Behind Every Act of Kindness, There's Someone Who Cares

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the simplest ones.

A shared laugh. A warm welcome. A helping hand. A simple hello. Or someone taking time out of their day just to be there for another person.

At Birch Foundation, we're fortunate to have people who believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, respected and included.

To our volunteers, supporters and friends, thank you for being part of our community. Your kindness helps make what we do possible.

As another week begins, we hope you'll find a little time to share that same kindness with someone around you. 💕

Because community is about looking after one another.

A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way

As Friday evening settles in and another week comes to a close, we hope you find a moment to rest, breathe and appreciate the little things in life.

For some, this week may have been full of joy and achievements. For others, it may have brought challenges, worries or moments that felt a little heavier than usual.

Whatever kind of week you've had, we hope you remember that you matter, your journey matters, and tomorrow brings another opportunity for brighter days.💕

At Birch Foundation, we're reminded that kindness doesn't always have to come in grand gestures. Sometimes, a warm smile, a listening ear or simply showing someone they are not alone can make a meaningful difference.

To our wonderful volunteers, supporters and everyone who continues to care for our community, thank you for the kindness you share.

Wishing you all a peaceful Friday evening and a weekend filled with warmth, hope and connection. 🌷

Our Op Shop – Every Purchase Has a Purpose, Every Visit Makes a Difference 💙

Sometimes, the smallest things bring the greatest joy.

Finding a beautiful pre-loved outfit, discovering a little treasure you didn't know you needed, enjoying a warm cup of coffee or simply sharing a friendly conversation with someone who makes you feel welcome.

At Birch Foundation, our Op Shop is more than just a place to shop. It's a little corner of our community where kindness, connection and generosity come together.

Every item on our shelves has a story, and every purchase becomes part of something meaningful.

When you shop with us, you're doing more than giving pre-loved treasures a new home. You're helping Birch Foundation continue its work supporting people experiencing hardship, offering practical assistance and bringing hope to members of our community.

And perhaps that's what makes our Op Shop so special. Something as simple as buying a shirt, enjoying a coffee or picking up a little treat can become part of something much bigger.

You don't have to spend a lot to make a difference. Sometimes, simply choosing to shop with purpose is a beautiful way to give back.

So, whether you're searching for a bargain, treating yourself to something lovely or just popping in for a friendly hello, we'd love to welcome you.

Because at Birch Foundation, it's not just about what you take home. It's about the kindness you leave behind. 💙

📍 Visit us at 4/127 Nerang Street, Southport QLD.

Come for the treasures, stay for the warmth and be part of something meaningful.

Community Outreach – Because Everyone Deserves to Feel Seen, Heard and Valued 💙

Sometimes, what someone needs most isn't something we can place in their hands.

It's a warm smile. A genuine conversation. Someone who takes the time to listen without judgement. A simple reminder that they matter.

Life can be difficult, and circumstances can change in ways we never expect. Behind every person experiencing hardship is a life filled with stories, hopes, challenges and dreams that deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.

At Birch Foundation, our community outreach is about more than providing clothing and everyday essentials. It's about meeting people with compassion, protecting their dignity and reminding them that they are a valued part of our community.

Through our outreach in Surfers Paradise, Southport and Nerang, we continue to show up, offering practical assistance, a listening ear and genuine human connection.

We may not be able to change someone's circumstances overnight, but we believe that even the smallest act of kindness can bring comfort, restore hope and remind someone that they don't have to face every challenge alone.

To our volunteers, donors and everyone who helps make our outreach possible, thank you. Every hour you give, every item you donate and every act of generosity helps us continue reaching people with care and compassion.

Because everyone deserves more than just getting through another day. Everyone deserves to feel valued, respected and remembered. 💙

Volunteers Matter – Every Helping Hand Makes a Difference 💙**

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give someone is our time.

A warm smile, a helping hand, a kind conversation or simply being there when someone needs a little support. These small acts of kindness can mean more than we realise.

At Birch Foundation, our volunteers are at the heart of so much of what we do. From helping in our Op Shop and preparing essentials for outreach to supporting community events, they generously give their time to help make our community a kinder, more connected place.

And what makes volunteering so special isn't just the work being done. It's the friendships formed, the moments shared and the feeling of knowing you've made someone's day a little brighter.

You don't need special skills or experience to make a difference. Just a willing heart, a little of your time and a genuine desire to help.

To every volunteer who has walked alongside us, thank you. Your kindness, generosity and commitment mean so much, not only to Birch Foundation but also to the people and communities we support.

And if you've ever thought about volunteering, perhaps this is your moment to take that first step.

Because when we give a little of ourselves, we can make a meaningful difference in someone else's life. 💙
