Our Fraser Foundation quarterly scholarship review board met this morning to consider 14 applications from aspiring early childhood teachers, and the quality was extraordinary. What thrilled us most was where they came from: South Australia Regional Western Australia, North and West Queensland, just to name a few. The Foundation's reach is spreading well beyond our own backyard, and that's exactly what we hoped for when we started this.

Our board approved 9 of the 14 applications today, more than $160,000 in scholarships committed in a single sitting. 🎉

That takes the Foundation past $670,000 awarded since 2021, supporting close to 60 aspiring Early Childhood Teachers on their journey, alongside the 180+ educators we've supported through their Diploma with our partners at CAECE.

We say it often, but it bears repeating. This isn't about handing out certificates or photo opportunities. It's real money, going to real people, removing the real financial barriers that stop talented educators from becoming the degree-qualified teachers our sector desperately needs.

Australia needs more ECTs. We're doing something about it, one scholarship at a time.

To our nine newest scholars, congratulations. We can't wait to watch what you do.
