We are seeking Pasifika and Māori individuals and families across Logan, Bayside and the Gold Coast who can provide safe, nurturing and culturally connected homes for children and young people.

Whether you can offer emergency, respite, short-term or kinship care, your support can make a lifelong difference.

The Queensland Government has publicly released the final report of the Commission of Inquiry.

Queensland Foster and Kinship Care would like to take this opportunity to thank all foster and kinship carers who shared their lived experiences with us to inform our submission to the inquiry. We also acknowledge those who contributed directly to the Commission of Inquiry, as well as those who shared their experiences through their own submissions.

The final report is comprehensive and includes a range of recommendations, particularly in the family-based care space. Queensland Foster and Kinship Care is currently reviewing both the report and the recommendations handed down by the Commissioner and the Inquiry team.

We encourage all members, foster carers, and kinship carers to take the time to read the final report.

We warmly invite our Pasifika community to join us for a Pasifika Community Talanoa hosted by Village Connect.

📅 Date: 21st May 2026 🕙Time: 10:00am

This is a safe and welcoming space for our community to come together, share, and have a voice on issues that matter to us. We will be discussing key areas such as health, Maternity, Children, Youth, Elders, Foster and Kinship Care, Mental Health, Domestic Family Violence, Education, housing, immigration, business and training, and more.
