Shepparton parkrun

Shepparton parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at Victoria Park Lake. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Shepparton parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am commencing 11 Jan 2014. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to

come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

What a gorgeous morning while the sun was out to warm our bones. 191 people rocked up this morning and enjoyed a walk run or jog around the lake. It was awesome to have 17 first timers of which 6 were visitors to our Shepparton parkrun for the first time, the other 11 did their first parkrun anywhere, so we hope that we helped you see what the fuss is all about. 14 people gained a PB this morning and Thomas (10), Ivy (10), Graeme (150) and Kylie (350) all ran milestones today, congrats to you all. Thank you to our volunteers today, some of whom stepped up at the last minute to help out, without them we wouldn't have our parkrun. Hope you all have a great weekend, and see you next week!
