Our participants had a fantastic time at NerdMania on the weekend! A great opportunity to dive into interests they love, try something new and, most importantly, enjoy it alongside friends.

Doing things together has so many benefits — building friendships, confidence, connection and a real sense of belonging. 💙

It’s not just about what you do, it’s about who you get to do it with! 🙌

💙 The Man, The Legend – Geoffrey!

If you know Shepparton, chances are you know Geoffrey! A familiar face right across our community, Geoffrey continues to deliver The Shepparton Adviser to local businesses every Wednesday — and, of course, stops to have a chat with just about everyone along the way!

Geoffrey has a wonderful way of connecting with people, remembering faces and making everyone feel welcome.

A true Shepparton Access legend and, quite possibly, Mr Shepparton himself! 👏💙

🎨 Learning Through Art at Shepparton Access

At Shepparton Access, our highly skilled staff bring a broad range of specialist skills and knowledge to the programs we offer. Our Visual Arts & Digital Media program is a great example of this expertise in action.

Participants are learning line, shape, perspective, colour theory, value and observation while exploring traditional techniques and developing their own creativity and style.

They’ve already completed a canvas, with larger projects and new mediums ahead. 🖌️✨

Another great example of how we turn individual interests into **meaningful learning, skill development and creative outcomes.** 💙

🏊‍♂️💪 Health, Fitness & Fun at Shepparton Access!

At Shepparton Access, health and fitness are an important part of our programs — not just getting active, but learning about why movement, exercise and healthy choices are important for our wellbeing.

Ben and Mitch are fantastic swimmers and love getting in the pool! 🏊‍♂️ Swimming is a great way to build fitness, strength and confidence, while exercising alongside friends adds plenty of motivation, encouragement and, of course, a bit of fun!

Staying active is always better with friends! 💙

🌍✈️ **Around the World: Italy! 🇮🇹**

Who says you need a passport to travel the world? Our participants took off for an incredible Italian adventure — complete with boarding passes, flight simulation, safety briefing, pilots and cabin crew, before “landing” in Italy for a day of cooking, culture and interactive learning!

But it’s about so much more than the fun. 💙 These experiences build confidence, independence, communication, social skills and real-world knowledge — all while learning, growing and having a great time along the way!

There’s something incredibly powerful about the connection between people and animals. 🐴❤️

Our RDA program is a wonderful example, with participants building trust, confidence and independence through meaningful time with the horses and our amazing volunteers.

Erin, Jess and Lana have been developing their connection with the animals, growing in confidence, learning new skills and experiencing a real sense of achievement along the way.

A huge thank you to our incredible RDA volunteers for bringing so much knowledge, patience and heart to this program. 💙

RDA is just one of the many varied and purposeful programs on offer at our Learning and Lifestyle Hub — creating opportunities every day to learn, connect, build friendships and discover what is possible.

🧵✂️ Our Textile & Creative Design Program has been busy!

From learning to use sewing machines and creating beautiful quilts, to designing and bringing their own ideas to life, our participants are developing real skills, confidence and creativity alongside our amazingly skilled and supportive staff.

Our group programs are about so much more than the activity — they’re about learning together, building friendships, sharing ideas and achieving meaningful outcomes in a supportive and inclusive environment.

🧥💙 What a week it's been at Shepparton Access 💙🧥

This week has been all about giving back, building awareness, and learning about causes that matter.

To round out the week, our staff and participants proudly wore their favourite hoodies in support of "Hoodies for Housing", helping to raise money and awareness for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

It also sparked some great conversations about homelessness, empathy, and the importance of ensuring everyone has a safe place to call home.

Thank you to everyone who got involved and supported this important initiative. Every conversation helps create greater understanding and a more compassionate community. 💙🏡

💙👖 WE WORE OUR JEANS WITH PURPOSE! 👖💙

Today, Shepparton Access is proudly supporting Jeans for Genes by wearing our favourite denim to help raise awareness for children and families living with genetic conditions.

Participants are enjoying a day filled with fun and educational activities, learning about the importance of medical research and how Jeans for Genes helps fund life-changing research to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care of children living with genetic conditions.

A massive thank you to 💙🩵 𝓓𝓸𝓷𝓾𝓽 𝓪 𝓖𝓸 𝓖𝓸 🩵💙 for generously creating their beautiful blue donuts for everyone to enjoy! 🍩
