Our Guest speaker was the Club’s history buff VP Shane.
Shane spoke about the difficulties early explorers and settlers faced in finding a way through the swampy terrain and the vegetation from Melbourne to Sale.
This was the main reason why goods were transported via the sea, landing in Port Albert prior to following the track to Sale and beyond.
